Johann Strauss II (October 25, 1825 - June 3, 1899), also known as Johann Strauss, Jr., the Younger, the Son (German: Sohn), Johann Baptist Strauss, was an Austrian composer of light music, particularly dance music and operettas. He composed over 500 waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, and other types of dance music, as well as several operettas and a ballet. In his lifetime, he was known as "The Waltz King", and was largely then responsible for the popularity of the waltz in Vienna during the 19th century.
Some of Johann Strauss' most famous works include "The Blue Danube", "Kaiser-Walzer", "Tales from the Vienna Woods", and the "Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka". Among his operettas, Die Fledermaus and Der Zigeunerbaron are the best known.

Einst wohnte ich in Wien. Ich hätte gern in Wien geblieben da mir alles gefällt. Ich habe nur gute Erinnerungen. Wien ist meine dritte Heimat , die Stadt in meinen Traum. Betend dass Gott Österreich erhalte so schön wie immer für ewig! Aus Fernen Osten.
I love Strauss, this music remain me when l was a child and bring to me beautiful memories lived that never come back again when l was dancing many times in my school this music.

One of the best musiciens of the world...and the great maestro...I Love this music so much ...from Portugal.
Just watched this wonderful concert and enjoyed it very much. Outstanding Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. I heard them play several years ago in person. One the best in the world.
So beautiful and uplifting! The Director lives the music - very inspiring! Thank you!
What better place to listen to a Johann Strauss concert than beautiful Vienna.

Such a gorgeous concert. I love Maestro Mehta. Used to go to San Francisco Symphony's New Year concerts conducted by Maestro Blomstedt in the late 80s and early 90s and they were wonderful, one of them was conducted by Yehudi Menuhin which I will never forget. These concerts became eventually to expensive for my modest pockets and I truly miss them. Love this music.

Hoy, en junio del 2022, esa música sigue haciendo que a los privilegiados que la escuchamos, se nos olviden por momentos nuestros problemas y hasta respirar! Que forma de sentir y compartir felicidad sin fronteras ni límite de tiempo que se interpongan. Mi agradecimiento y admiración desde Guadalajara, México. Hoy, su música en México, es un elíxir que mucha falta nos hace.

Thank you all for freely sharing a gloriously fabulous concert that I can now enjoy anytime of my choice! These are some of my most favorite tunes that I have enjoyed since my childhood. The Orchestra, Conductor and Vocalists performed beautifully with such excellence, purely communicating immense excitement and enthusiasm. I speak only English, so I have a limited understanding of the Lyrics, but I heard joyful and exuberant overtones that excuberates and energizes my heart with glee!! Thank you again for a flawlessly perfect performance in beautiful Vienna:)

Música de grandes compositores : . Súper bien dirigida esta belleza por el gran Director y todos los instrumentistas. Ya me imagino “ el ballet y parece que estoy en el “ cielo” .Está música , enaltece el alma, el ánimo y los deseos de estar ( junto a ellos)
