A sitter is more for dmt and salvia. Even then they're not completely necessary if you know what you're doing. Set and setting are key. If I'm tripping on mushrooms I don't want someone watching me asking how I'm feeling. I just want to be in nature alone and with music. If you take a heroic dose, sure, maybe have someone in another room that you can yell for and bring you water and a sugary drink while you take off all of your clothes to prevent overheating and temporary paralyzation.

The response resulting from the synthetic, inflammation, is the general effect caused by almost all illness. It’s likely much more practical to test inflammation this way than by waiting patiently for someone to contract an illness and then measure the inflammation markers. You can then extrapolate these results to general illness and maybe even develop a conclusion as to how effective the mushroom is in treating symptoms of illness.

That's what I was thinking too, but if you keep listening, it sounds like what happened is, he can't complete his research faster than these synthetic viruses are coming out, so since he can't stop it, at the very least he can ensure that natural remedies (mushrooms in htis case) are included in that to help fight all these viruses coming odnw the pike. Also, though he could never directly answer joes questions (most likely due to threat of being sued, having his research defunded, etc, which is quite common unfortunatley) he alluded to the fact that even if you don't take a vaccine at all, and just use the mushrooms, it will boost your immune system and help reduce adverse reactions full stop. So essentially, you don't need to take a vaccine, just taking the mushrooms provides a huge benefit. Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical industry and privatized companies have a stranglehold on the research, so the only way for people like Paul to be able to keep researching and so on, is to align with them, even to some small degree, in order to secure funding and be allowed to perform his research.

@AZAZEL_IX Depends on your interest within mycology and where you are located. Most states have a Mycology Society that publish information on local species. That's where I started. Staments grow books are outdated. If that's what you're interested in you'd be better off searching shroomery forums. The mushroom hour podcast interviews a lot of mycologists doing cool research. Tons of good stuff out there from people who aren't just trying to sell you a product.

1:53:57 I listened to Paul’s first interview on JRE six years ago; it was my first introduction to psychedelics. Since then, I've been exploring the world of mushrooms through interviews with Terrance McKenna, Michael Pollan, and Paul Stamets. Last week, armed with the knowledge gained from these great minds, I embarked on my first guided psilocybin trip. It was an ancient Celtic ceremony here in Ireland, and it turned out to be the most pivotal experience of my life. The 29-year-old who listened to that interview years ago had no clue that his path towards a transformative psychedelic experience had just began. Thank you, Joe, for providing me (us) with a platform to learn and grow, and thank you, Paul, for setting me on the path to a higher consciousness with the aid of psilocybin mushrooms.
