I’ve supported West Ham since I was little. However, there was a week or two when I was 7 or 8 that I tried to swap to Liverpool. The reason it was only a week or two was seeing paolo Di canio and the the white Ronaldinho himself, joe Cole, playing for West Ham. Joe Cole was the player every kid could relate to. Step overs, rabonnas, flicks and tricks galore. All the things we tried on the school playground he was doing in the premier league. Baller.
Joe Cole walked so guys like Grealish,Foden could run. Great times watching him as a Chelsea fan.

What a fantastic interview guys and what a footballer Joe was. This kind of interviews are awesome so bring more players like him Rio
I’m American from Florida where he was playing and I remember meeting him when I was 12. seemed like one of those people that had time for everyone. He gave me his signature and talked to me... small moment for him but I still remember yrs later how nice he was. I love these people who are real like that, cause its easy to come on something like this and give good impression
what a class interview , the fact that joe says hazard is like him but another level shoes the humility of the man .love it lads

People will still hate on Hazard even though even Joe Cole said he's the best he played with
I used to see Joe Cole at USF St Pete in Florida when I was in Uni down there!! It was a pleasure being able to watch this legend train walking to classes ..it’s wild cuz rarely anyone at Uni knew him… 😓 smh
Easily one of the best interviews I've watched, Joe is such a down to earth guy, and was a brilliant footballer.
Thank you so much to Joe Cole and the 11 Foundation for supporting Future Youth Zone and allowing young people to have somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to!
There’s a reason why Arsenal never won champions leagues and multiple league titles in a row… it’s because they didn’t have the likes of O’Shea’s, Neville’s, Fletchers and Park’s… the likes of players Joel was slagging off 😌 those that can step in during a season, play and effect games and keep a winning thing going… football is a squad effort and these players were priceless…

Joel's analysis on Ballack and Lampard was spot on. Glad he pulled Rio on his ridiculous statement that Lampard was a Level above Ballack. Rubbish.
@jkjkjkjkjk537

Ballack was one of the unluckiest footballers in the world mate. He had to come up against Zidane in a champions league final and Ronaldo in the world cup final. He lost the league at Leverkusen on the last day. Was undone in the 2002 UCL final by a moment of magic by Zidane. He was the reason Germany even made it to the finals in that year's worldcup, scoring the only goal in the semi final. Lost another UCL final on penalties and then we all know that refereeing horror show against barca the next year.

Ballack at Leverkuesen and Munich, I agree with. Chelsea never saw the best of Michael Ballack. He was amongst the top 3 best players in the world at one stage

@@Ridz800 and at the International level Ballack was two levels above Lampard? So for Rio to say Lampard overall was a level above is nonsense. Looking after his mates. These podcasts will soon lose credibility if people like Rio can't remain impartial.
Probably one of the best podcasts/interviews yet! Never really heard joe talk in depth
That was fantastic, proper sound guy joe Cole. You get so much more out of players on this kind of a platform than you ever would on tv. Top work lads 👏
I remember when James Maddison first came through at Coventry and I said he reminded me of Joe Cole. I later found out that Steven Pressley, the Coventry manager at the time actually brought Joe Cole to Coventry on loan from Villa, to mainly act as a mentor to Maddison as he knew he was going to be a big player.
One of the best interviews i've seen, so honest and humble!!! Top player and person👍💙💙💙
Joe was so good to watch, seems a top lad too
One of the great mystery talents of the English game
I remember Joe Cole arriving at Liverpool, had me excited. Didn't work out in the end, but that happens. What a player he was.
Joe Cole seems like a sound guy can’t lie, top baller too
Legend. Seems like a genuinely decent guy too
Funny saying imagine rocking up on Sunday and seeing Joe Cole. That’s exactly what happened I turn up on the pitch start warming up and I see Cole on my team! Highlight of my night 😂

That’s the first time I saw him playing live, very underrated baller.
I was there for his debut in the FA cup against Swansea, during the warm up he got a standing ovation, what an incredible amount of pressure for a player before he has even kicked a ball for the first team. To be fair he can on and changed the game because of his positivity. Amazing.
Absolutely wonderful. What watch. BRILLIANT. THANK YOU.
had the pleasure of playing alongside David Boateng, a mutual teammate of Joe and myself, should have been pro, born in the same month as Joe and me -- he had a great a talent
We need vidic on here
God, hated seeing him in the team sheet, incredible interview, loved seeing the player conversations between to rivals/teammates

What a show, could listen to Joe all day.
My favourite Joe Cole memory - when Mourinho said "Joe Cole? Injured FOREVER". Great player but shame about the injuries
Met J Cole on Wanstead high st as a high school student, got a signature on a napkin. Top man, made time for hundreds of students, I love this guy
Love Joe Cole. Brilliant listen
As a Chelsea fan thank you for this!
Joe Cole was different breed man. Proper chels 💙

Great interview, honest answers from one player I hated to watch as a United fan, because he could (and did) hurt us a few times!
18:29 - Nah big spill! Joe Cole was silly! One of the original wonder kids!! 👏🏾
What an episode !!!!!!
Happy to hear Joe Cole mention Kalou Solomon,,,, Solomon was one of the greatest during is time at Chelsea
Ste’s hatred of anything Liverpool always makes me laugh
Great interview guys
Love Joe Cole one of the best players on Chelsea's Golden Era ❤
Joe Cole inna da building!!!
Joe is probably my best player ever! Love the man on and off the pitch. He was very successful of course but I thought he could have been as good as Messi and that ‘mild’ ‘gentle’ question to Joe about him being ‘caged’ at Chelsea was probably such a good discussion with Joe. It was a balance between game control and just letting go his skill and particularly Jose who gave him so much carrot and stick but limited his ability. I saw one game at West Ham and Joe tackled a player on the floor jumped up and created an attack for West Ham to score from defence to attack. Genius. I’m a lifetime Chelsea fan from 1962 and yet I always thought he was a Hammer through and through and I was so happy to realise he was really a Chelsea boy. Carefree. KTBFFH 💙
entertained! huge fan of Joe Cole!
Amazing 🙌🏻

top bloke top talent great charity nice interview. utd fan
J cole is about this life 👌🏾 he said we gotta pattern it. Then rio said we gonna paint it 😂🤣 rio aint from these streets. Nuff love 🖤
For Joel. Phil Neville stats from 98/99 season:- 28 played (19 starts) total of 1800 minutes in Epl. 9 played (7 starts) total of 635 minutes in Ucl. Thats an integral contribution to a side that won the treble. U know why Arsenal cant finish top 4 last season even without the european competition ? Bcoz u dont have a phil neville in ur team to rotate when u have to play during the midweek in Epl. Ur ignorance is ur big flaw Joel.
What a player he was !!!
What a player!!
He was meant to be next big thing back in the day, even though it didn't turn out that way,he was still fun to watch
This was dope! Joe’s a legend and you can tell he’s with the shits too lol
Rio is a legend
Where’s this intro track @? It’s hard I always forget to ask. Anyone?
37:34 Rate Joel for dropping names. Even when Rio and Steve tried to back their utd boys they still didn't address the fact that they weren't world class players. Tbf Wes Brown was class but Neville and O'shea saying that they played their "roles" in the club says it all for me 😅 Another great show! Love hearing Joe Cole speak, gutted his show one the JOE channel didn't carry on this year!
love joel's honesty on phil neville, very true tho
What a great interview with a great guest ☺️👌🏻. Pity JOE L had to ruin it with dissing some players 🙄
Thanks
Joe Cole . Proper footballer 🥶
Omg Joe Cole finding out about tiki-taka in 2010, being mind blown.
Beckham and joe cole two most entertaining english player of 21st century
Joe Cole the original young prem street baller
Joel is so funny interview - calling out Phil Neville lmaooo
If young joe cole have played for Pep, or the spanish style, he would have been super amazing instead of that rigid england 442 or jose park the bus...... But hey he did still won trophies under jose.
That Potter prediction aged well 😂
We need to give prop’s to Rio!!

That's why jose is special
Is Joel’s mic not on? It sounds like he’s coming through a room mic or something.

Has Steve got a GBRS group t shirt on ? 👀👀
This tagline aged well then.
I seen a previous interview where Joe says scholes was levels above the other two. Depends what day it is I guess
wonderkids these days mostly base their style on past wonderkids. unique styles are quite rare these days and the players are very coached
