This is absolute gold. Thanks!
I'm glad someone asked Joe Barresi about pinkerton. I was going to start my own podcast and beg Joe to come on just so I can talk about the drum sound on it. It's the best rock drum tone of all time. Straight up.
Two of my favorites in one video. More of this please!!!
I so love how Joe and Joe are music fans vs. music business fans. 😍
This was so good ! Humble, knowledgeable and artistic. Engineers, producers, and mixers are the magicians.
Dude yes! Nice guest choice, I love his mixes!

Its also about his engineering…arguably even more than his mixing (slightly)
I love recording and mixing my own music but if I could record with anyone it would be Joe Baressi. I love his guitar and drum tones so much and he’s worked with so many bands I like I think he’d really get what I’m trying to do.
Amazing chat between two amazing producers/engineers. Thank you!
These videos are Priceless please keep them up JOE!!! Joe Squared killed it today
These interviews are so inspirational.
Another great interview series, thank you for doing this!!!

Incredible conversation thank you so much.
FANTASTIC! Real Knowledge from TRUE professionals that have done real recordings with other humans!
Such a great and insightful conversation.
This is gold Thank you!😊
THANK YOU for this!
Very nice format. I loved the conversation between 2 legends!
Awesome interview, thanks so much for sharing the wisdom
"JoeTools" haha, awesome.
Evil Joe is the man! 2 legends
I came here because I was so impressed by Chevelle's massive sound. Just to find out that he's the same guy that made the Pinkerton sound.
Great idea to do these interviews!! Great stuff!!!
That tape 'mistake' is wonderfully crazy haha
So fkn rad.
You guys are doing a great job with the video content- keep up the good work! Appreciate it
Awesome
Two Joes, two dons.
Kinda disappointed Joe's work with Tool wasn't discussed at all. I'd really like to hear what magic made 10.000 days sound like it did.
Pinkerton is the best Weezer album by far. It was my theme music my freshman year in high school
Speaking of effected lap steel, let us not forget the master, a Mr. David Gilmour 🎸
What a great episode! Any chance of seeing Randy Staub on your show??
Kudos, _ya slagz!_ Of the many 100s of 'music greats' interviews I've trawled thru a this is one of VERY FEW that I've bothered to log for a 2nd+ listen.

p.s. _Stoner Witch_ and _Pinkerton_ are two of my favorite '90s recordings, those Kyuss records were foundational I go back to seeing them open for FaithNoMore w/ Melvins and/or Babes in Toyland at Royce Hall gymnasium @Davis 1992/93 (memory's a tad hazy :D) Those gigs had tremendous vibe like no other, made Lollapalooza 1&2 seem chaperoned.
Thank you for this great episode. As a side note: the link to instagram does not work properly. I think the issue can be resolved easily by editing the link to the correct one - my guess is that it went wrong after you attempted copy/paste
Please.. PLEASE I BEG YOU. MORE BARRESI CONTENT!
Worst thing I ever did was sell my Sovtek Mig 50! If I could I would go back and slap me in the face with 10foot long dong, and scream "Don't you fucking dare!!!". Best guitar sound I ever got through a Jackson 4x12 straight cab! Bag End speakers in that one. None of the newer amps sound close. No Mesa's, Marshalls, EVH's, Hughes & Kettner, Freidman, Orange, Fender, Diezel, or Soldano come close. Don't know what exactly it was, but I'm always searching for that specific sound! 20 yrs later!
joe chiccarelli seems like a really down to earth guy. didnt know he discovered weezer.
Please, invite Kevin Shirley. Please.

Good call. No problem
Oh my god I love this $h!t.
@sunsetsoundrecorders8522 What song are you talking about at the end with the tape mistake?
Ha! I ran EV Sentry 500s as my mains for all of the 90’s paired with various nearfields. (Referencing the 30:00 mark) Now I struggle to match the character of those recordings! 🤷♂️. If they’re good enough for Joe (either Joe) and Queens Of The Stone Age then they’re good enough for me!
Can someone tell me why there is a behringer 8024 in the top of a rack please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My band is recorded with that ethos.
Uh oh, Josh Homme's rig was discussed, count down til the video is taken down

The interviewer needs to learn to shut his mouth and let the guest talk .
