Soundtrack to our lives…..
Icky thump was the weakest WS album because of the production and Jack's weak writing on it.
Ya that's a lotta cocaine mang
Where is the soundboard that was at The Grand Ol Opry? Wasent that one the BEST?
I'm now in a ZolarX rabbit hole...great glam!
We interviewed Zolar X on here. Link below kzread.info/dash/bejne/moOmw4-IdNbWebg.htmlsi=zHCkmVA1Y4aJEaoS
This version is booty
That sounds like Prince on bass. The problem is that the Mazarati lead is flat and doesn't bring any life to the song.
Just finally met Charley one on one last week before his show at the Hampton casino ballroom in New Hampshire and man oh man does this dude shine. Gave him a Skyview Ranch Crockett covers T shirt and asked if it was ok for us to be covering all his songs on KZread and he said “hell yeah man, y’all makin any money?” Haha still has me laughing, I love this man to death and would take 1,000 bullets for him and his people
I call cap !!
The random mask on mask off has me confused...lol
Early Prince was the best (Raw). Mis understood and overlooked.
"Can't stay up there forever" hell yeahh. Goddamn youth is a fickle thing. I wish I am 10 years younger
1:33. 😂
Thanks for sharing the insights of a genius.
Attributes of a great working guitatrist: 1) An ear for the contemporary 2) Blessed with speed 3) Can sing SL has all three, and then some.
So marvelous! I genuinely hope that in five-eight years I can reach that apex that Prince did. I gave up on my instrumental aspirations but I’m getting back into it
The dude looks a bit like Sammy Hagar
"I'll wait" has to be the worst Van Halen cut
Steve Lukather lies a lot and this clip is no exception. First of all Eddie said that he went down there to play it, he rearranged the chords under the solo, then did 2 takes. Then Michael came in and said "I love that high fast stuff you play". Second of all 5150 was built in 1983 and Thriller was released in 1982. This doesn't prove Eddie's story is correct but it does prove that Steve is wrong in what he's saying here.
lol yes the hypocrisy. Imagine the richest artists in the music industry come together with the aim of raising money for people in different continent. While simultaneously having a whole different category at the music award show for people who come from the continent. “Favorite Black Artist”. Imagine if Elon Musk asked you for money for charity 😂😂😂😂like umm why can’t you sign your own check book
Wonderful anecdotes! Kenny Nolan must have taken offense from it because you cannot his version, the one where these cats played, anywhere on KZread lol...and the other versions: Comments deactivated...BUTT LOVE MEEEEE!!!
That date seems to be wrong. Mis-labeled session sheet? Maserati’s demo couldn’t have been recorded Feb of ‘86, as Prince released his single on Feb 5th of that year. He allegedly recorded his version in April the previous year.
What was the point of even wearing the face diaper?
When my Mom first dropped the needle on the Cross back in the day, I actually thought that was Sheila E on the drums and he plays it like she would have played it.
I have never seen anyone accomplish as much as Lee Sklar in a single 24 hour period
Tune 2024 still listening and I wasn't even born when it was released 🇮🇪
I've heard so many artists try to cover this song, theirs is nice but will not attain the level of this greatness. That song is still relevant.
Gold tooth... Gold chain wearin'....
Nice to see him.😊❤
The freaking number of adds in this was ridiculous. Gave up trying to watch.
Man, does Dr. Fink sound like genuine nice guy. The kind of person you could trust your secret with.
Mind blowing!
Ted templeman was a genius
Sign O’ The Times is a masterwork. I salute you Susan, for a tremendous job recording it.
Zoom is not an easy first-time experience and can be frustrating. Denny is a phenomenon, one who gets that 'perfect' sound that every drummer wants. His technique is incredible. I did not realize that he was with Heart or Foreigner, or David Coverdale. Ironically, I saw Dennie at a Day on the Green in the late 70s ('78) with Montrose and I think St. Paradise was there that day (maybe not)? Is it possible for a drummer to work for two bands on the same bill? Monsters of Rock. With Montrose, I don't remember who sang, Sammy has such a memorable sound but it was probably Bob James, who was incredible that day.........might be wrong about who it was. Also, I saw Heart, but probably not the same day. I later saw Denny with Gamma at the Stone Clubs. I'm so lucky.
If y'all haven't heard it yet y'all should check out and hear the EXTENDED version from Prince. It is PHENOMENAL!!!
I also was born in St. John’s Hospital. A lot of stars had their children there.
"Even the drummer gets a solo album?"...referring to the Eagles. Hilarious. Died laughing. Bravo!
Talk about an amazing and * POWERFUL* instrument. Gives me chills.
Back when they first moved in it was like a little shed . Ed had to buy his neighbor's house because he was so loud at night . His neighbor was Lindsay Wagner aka The Bionic Woman .
I love the ending in Jamies's Cryin". Thank god they did not use the abrupt and short ending.
He was a tyrant for wanting things to be uniform for the projects and what music of hers ?
I bet he was not terrified lol
Prince's final version was the #1 hit. When he put his vocals snd rhythm guitar on it made it magic.
20:24, Prince gave an award to Gotye, and he said that he "loves this song" kzread.info/dash/bejne/iGSmqpNumdHKgLw.html&start_radio=1
Really good interview with a guy who was in the middle of it all. Just letting Lee Sklar talk was the right thing to do.I am wondering though didn’t anything funny happen?
Crazy talent with the guitar and playing at lighting speed is what Van Halen excels, but why should it be everybody's cup of tea? I appreciate the talent they have but I have never vibed with their music, and that comes from a Led Zeppelin fan
Two of my keyboard heroes since i was a kid......in one room together.....David & Steve.....Magically awesome!!!!
Tears
He was sloppy as hell
