i don't know why boxers don't move their heads side to side or do more of it, thats what i do alot and i don't think i'm even at amature stage.

mkrtchyan looks like a solid puncher. but speed and accuracy won the day

so fast the stunning right hand...didn't see it....had to rewind twice to see it....short right, quick. stunned him and left him open for the barrage that ended it. "Invisible car came out of nowhere, hit me, and vanished." I am sure Mkrtchyan didn't know what him.

Why didn't Joe fight Roy Jones or Hopkins early on his career?

I honestly don't know why they didn't face each other before, Joe would have controlled Hopkins while Roy Jones would have had to win for Ko to beat Joe and honestly had all the right cards to beat Joe, However to conclude Roy Jones vs Joe Calzaghe I would have given 60 percent chance of victory in favor of Roy Jones for what he achieved in his career, he was a great boxer, spectacular, while 40 percent in favor of J. Calzaghe who was a great boxer, surprising, enthralling, had many qualities, too many for one boxer only! :)

According to Joe Calzaghe's autobiograhpy (and the commentators in this fight alluded to it early in the video) was that the big American names weren't interested in him until he became a bigger name in America after Lacy. He wasn't a big commercial draw in the States. He started negotiations to fight Hopkins, apparently, but they dragged on and Hopkins' people finally came with an offer that split the purse far too heavily in Hopkins' favour.

he did not miss the count, he started from 5 rightly because 5 seconds had passed up to that moment.

Calzaghe doesn't like planes just like Ali, probably because you can't fight your way out of a plane once its in the air lol.

Did you see the 2 blondes in the front row..? pay top dollars for a ringside seat then spend the fight talking to your mate..maybe they were discussing Einsteins theory of relativity

El Cardoso it was a technique to distract and keep opponents flustered so they didn't have time to set up their own. For every 10 slaps, there was a solid punch to go with them. People didn't get knocked out by the flurry, but plenty got knocked out so whilst it looked scrappy, it was effective and very good boxing

@@mariogalli9505 quegli "schiaffi" servono a far calare un'attimino l'attenzione dell'avversario che registra la sua tensione muscolare e l'attenzione secondo il colpo più potente di Calzaghe,tutto questo lavoro porta al minuto 31:47, quando l'avversario inizia ad avere stanchezza da portare il gancio senza pensare che davanti hai un'avversario che ti ha gia contrattaccato prima ancora che parti con il gancio, a Calzaghe basta il movimento di carica, cosi al minuto 31:47 calzaghe prova il primo contro pugno che non ha l'effetto voluto,la seconda è la volta buona,il colpo decisivo dell'incontro al minuto 31:56, Calzaghe è invisibile,non tutti si accorgono delle sue grandi abilità, quel destro fa perdere lucidità all'armeno, Calzaghe se ne accorge e ci va giù pesante concludendo la prima combinazione con un velenoso destro al corpo,l'avvrsario sente il colpo ed arretra, Calzaghe mette assegno un montante velenoso ed ormai è la fine, con due dritti pesanti, altro che schiaffi! Calzaghe mette fine all'incontro, Calzaghe è un serpente, sembra che i suoi colpi siano leggeri ma è solo apparenza, ti suona round dopo round fino a quando il primo a cedere sei tu, appena cali lui fa "all in" portando i colpi più pesanti, questo è un campione raro,altro momento in cui trovare le sue grandi qualità, dal minuto 29:52 sino al minuto 30:00, pochi secondi in cui vi è gran parte del talento di Calzaghe, chi impara quel giochetto e chi registra la distanza come faceva lui è sicuramente sulla buona strada,grande tecnica,grandi riflessi.Campione raro. Ciao!

Calzaghe has some serious hand speed but minimal power.He is not very exciting fighter but hey he wins and with victories over Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins and Peter Manfredy Jr.I have no criticism to offer except maybe he is a bit too boring.

'Minimal power'? the 32 fighters he KO'd might disagree :) including Mkrtchyan, stopped here in round 7. He did have an awkward looking style though.
