I redid this one, then got frustrated with the software for corrupting my files and had to redo it again, then I broke my wrist at volleyball and had to lay off, also got covid, it's just been a god awful couple of weeks haha. Bigman1776 approves of kecleon. I have always loved him, and felt he was greatly underappreciated. Great video, as always, and I would say my favorite rival is Bianca, as her arc is one of the few instances that someone realizes pokemon battling is not the default solution to any problem.

Good to see this series back! Glad I predicted the Kekwleon and even tho my name of skittles didn't get chosen, the name that did was incredibly wholesome. As for Barak's comment question, I'm normally anti gen 1 thinking it's the weakest gen in the series but I have to say that Blue is my favorite rival in the series. I always liked him as even tho he was antagonistic, he was never malicious in his actions, plus I really like how much development and coverage he's had over the entire franchise, showing up as the new 8th gym leader of kanto seeming more mature if still a little arrogant in Gold and Silver, not to mention his appearances in Sun/Moon and Let's Go. My favorite iteration of Blue however is probably from Pokemon Origins where I really like his bad boy demeanor but showed that he was completely willing to work with Red to stop Team Rocket multiple times in the series. Also random thing about Blue that I like is his 'L for loser" forehead esque wave that he does, I think I first noticed it in Moon and he does it a lot in Let's Go but I thought it was a cute little quirk of his that fit in with his character and I actually picked it up myself irl, if I'm ever greeting someone I know or heading out I'll do his little gesture, not sure why but it just sorta stuck. Anyways massive essay about Blue over, I'm really looking forward to the future of both this series now that the team is rounded up but also the channel as a whole, I'm looking forward to any series that may come after this one.

Ayy glad you like it Ace I'm doing my best to make sure everything sounds as organic as possible. Often that means I have to regenerate the text I have the AI spit out for me, that's where the expense of the videos comes from for the most part. Not to get into it too much but I think a lot of other channels just type out the text, let the software generate the audio, and they paste it in. I'm trying my best to focus on timely inflection and interactions with the others and all that, so that's why it takes a while. Sociology of conversation is an interesting thing haha. Glad to see you back! Got worried for a moment something might have happened, but I understand life gets in the way sometimes. My choice for best rival is either Gary or May. Gary, because he was the OG rival and constantly one step ahead of you. His cockiness would give you the drive to always be better than him, so you could keep him in check.(Also his theme in the OG games slapped) May, because I have gen 3 bias (Hoenn is the best don't @ me) and she still remained a competent rival, she just was friendlier than rivals from the first 2 generations. She was more the kind of rival that wanted to push you to be better, instead of her herself being the best.

I wouldn't necessarily show the playthrough but maybe when George comes back to play and catch the legendaries as hinted earlier in the series, maybe I can start the episode by george playing fire red by himself, then the presidents join and move over to emerald. idk yet I got time. CQ: The worst rival is easily the Kalos squad. Calem and Serena are supposed to be the personification of the story's conflict, but it's not executed well, and the rest of the rivals have awful development. As much as I'd like to say Silver is the best rival because of his theme and his simple yet effective design, for me, the best rival has to be Blue. As cliché as that is, his doucheyness is perfect motivation, and the final battle against him is classic. I'd like to put Nemona as my favorite because she has a better theme and character arc, but defending SV is dangerous lol

Haven't played enough of s/v to have an informed opinion of her but from what i remember Nemona was a fun energetic rival character but definitely when I think pokemon rival, blue is the first thing pop in my head, a rare gen 1 w for me

Ayy thanks Joe means a whole lot to hear people like this channel so much. I keep up with a handful of other presidents AI creators, and we definitely all have our own styles here. I'm trying to prioritize an organic conversation between some friends in a discord call, while also keeping jokes fresh. And biden's perverseness is a joke that needs to be applied carefully haha. Alright! Another great banger! Another classic anime logic battle with Joe (when Ruby lives on 1hp always). GG with that. Favorite Rival: Blue because the OG rival who never understand why he loses and how he is motivated. Also because I have had intense battles against him. Least favorite rival: Barry because he is so annoying. He battles at the most random spots/times and I don’t like that. We need a Joe special for the President Secret Base. We also need a Whismur tribute video.

Ayy thanks Costa. Yeah I may or may not have save stated around the beginning of that battle to make sure Ruby lives and gets the kill on altaria. But don't tell anyone. And yeah Joe is getting a special for sure. And I think Donald deserves to do the special for the feebas/milotic beauty contest. Any idea what Barack can do? I'm thinking I either let him battle Steven at the end or do the legendaries with George.

Welcome back!!!!!! Okay I'm trying not to go classic Donald and roast you for a very CLEARLY sleepy take and should have instead gone for the banette on the team. Kecleon is BEYOND EASY to abuse and KO in the Battle Frontier and horrible stats. It was just a gimmick pokemon. No promises on silently judging your choice but congrats on evolving Titan and the catfish 😅 I am excited the setup is for Don next episode which means we are finally ready for TIFFANY the SHUPPET/BANETTE to be captured!! Don't forget I mentioned the gold luvdisk via Thiefing for Heart Scales outside the victory road towards bottom of waterfall. Also as side filler episode I recommend Sleepy make a base in the NW portion of the map surfing away from Rustboro in the trees over there BUT have him play when the others are away so only he knows the location. Have random money disappear to go to the base for a big reveal later would be amazing

@@Dylxan327 for your bases make sure you get the plank as it is needed for some of the nicer bases to get across. The nw route outside of Meteor falls and Rustboro city just a surf away is perfect in addition the spots that are in the rapids west of Pacifidlodge

Now that's an interesting idea. Definitely more likely than any of the later gen games. Colosseum is actually pretty easy to emulate.

Silver is my favorite. Might be nostalgia, but they seemed like a somewhat challenging rival that had good character development.

My favorite rival is Silver. after getting 'scraped' by you in the radio tower basement he has an existential crisis turns good And in the next battle he has a Crobat, a Pokemon you can only get by proving that he's on the road to positive change.

yeah I always liked that theme of his. If you don't know about it yet check out smithplayspokemon and his rework of pokemon crystal. He just released it. I'm stoked to play it, I'm planning on streaming me doing a HC nuzlocke of it in the near future. He gives silver some cool changes to play into his character more.

George is so funny in this series

I respect May and I love that 6 out of 7 of her Pokémon are mystery dungeon starters

Wally has always interested me Probably because we don’t see him too much after the opening and his fights are usually more difficult than May/Brendan’s Good backstory too

True I always liked how he's like a pseudorival. Sapphire was my first pokemon game as a kid. I totally forgot about him and then he comes out of nowhere to ambush you at the very end of victory road. That was absolutely brutal. Modern pokemon would never do that to you haha

I like the dynamic between the player and May and the player and Wally. I do feel like they messed something up though. The rival should be the one that persists in challenging you all the way to Victory road. Wally, the inexperienced, initially infirmed boy who catches a feeble Ralts at the beginning of his journey and doesn't even decide to actually be a trainer until you've already gotten 3 badges should be the one who makes a couple attempts but ultimately gives up by Lilycove city. Ralts could be fully evolved by then, showing how his bond with Gardevoir developed it to something formidable, but he still can't quite cut it in the end and decides to take his beloved Pokemon back home and just enjoy their company, or take up another Pokemon related pursuit. On the other hand, May (rival) who claims to want to stop battling and focus on collecting and research gives up right before a plethora of new Pokemon types and explorable regions become available. Her story starts when yours does and she would feel more developed as a rival and a character if she takes her pursuit of Pokemon knowledge and follows you all the way to Victory Road. There, having seen just about everything Hoenn has to offer and losing to you, yet again, right before the final challenge of battle focused Pokemon trainers, it would make more sense for her to realize that she loved the journey and meeting all the new Pokemon in all the different places along the way and there's no need for her keep struggling to match you in battle or to attempt the Elite Four when battle just isn't her thing. That said, I liked May and Wally as characters and it was cool watching them develop and seeing their choices. They were also the first rivals that didn't hate your guts or have outright bad philosophies about Pokemon. After this rivals just started getting boring and cut & paste. I think it was worst in Kalos when you had like 4 friend/rivals all at once and none of them stood at chance against you at anything. Your rival should always pick the Pokemon that has an advantage against you. Over leveling makes them easy to beat no matter what they chose, so at least let them pick the one that poses a bigger threat.

Favorite rival has to be may since it was the first time your rival was nice. Also, I always picked mudkip so her 3rd or 4th battle was always really tough with the 4x weak to grass and I enjoyed the challenge.

i personally am on donald's side here i thought it was so lame they never came back to fight you with a better team with a fully evolved starter. I always thought I missed a battle or something when I was younger.
