QOTD: Honestly I think Ash’s alolan team gets slept on pretty hard. It’s a thematically diverse and almost a tried an true Gen VII team from the USUM games. Which also helps since the Alolan league did a great job in giving highlights to not only the characters from Alola but the Gen VII mechanic by giving Ash both Z-moves, a gen VII mythical, and a ultra beast. The team and victory was a well deserved comeback after blue balling fans back in XY&Z

ayy my man thanks so much for the superthanks as always, preciate you a lot cy. My problem with the alola team is literally only the fact that the league was 3v3. I thought that was so lame. But I agree, having a melmetal is crazy. I think that was Ash's first mythical he owned. that all being said though i can't help but swear my allegiance to the sinnoh team, much like many others in this comment section.

Although I did bring it up earlier in the series during the norman episode, I might allow George to do the legendaries :)

It’s easily Sinnoh for me as my favorite Ash’s team. And also, Chimchar to Infernape line will always be my favorite. From what the poor Chimchar went through with Paul to being able to beat Paul’s Electivire at the end was so awesome. Wish he could fight against the legendaries that Tobias had.

yeah easily Sinnoh for me too and a lot of others here. I felt like each team member had a memorable backstory which is rare for his teams.

Ash's Gen 2 team will always be my favorite because of the nostalgia and the pure raw potential that team had. If he would've evolved all his Pokémon it would've been great.

QOTD: My answer would have to be between the journeys team and the Kalos team. The journeys team is probably the most balanced team Ash ever had. Being able to mega evolve with Lucario, use a z move with pikachu, and dynamax with Gengar was actually busted. The Kalos team had an interesting mix plus having two dragons was cool and how he persevered to almost win the Kalos league was impressive

thanks lynes! I put a lot of work into making sure the expressions on the voices sound exactly how I want them to sound during any given point in their conversation. Another great video!! Loved the action and the idea for a Manetric with only Thunderbolt (I will hold you to that). My favorite Ash Team is the Sinnoh team because it is diverse in typing for the most part and it has some of the best Pokémon on the team from gen 4 although it has like the lowest win rate of all the teams. Overall epic team.

yeah it's an interesting thing honestly. On one hand, If I use more transitions so make sure more things are happening in an episode and making sure people stay interested, I will probably have a higher average watch time, which will lead to more impressions, which will lead to more views. However, I like the idea of just keeping it as organic as possible. I really don't skip ahead too much, mainly just battles no one needs to see. In addition to doing that because I want to, it also means I will have a lot more episodes by the time the series is over. So all in all, things are going well now and I'll keep it as is. The steady growth is nice :)

Most others just seem like the pokemon is going on separately from the commentary to keep you emtertained like those memes with the subway surfers clips on the bottom half lol. You got a great balance and the commentary isn't stale or shallow

I'd have to say his loan team is my personal favorite. His Alola team with the xceptlett, why he didn't fully evolve, is still beyond me.

Happy Birthday Joe! I loved Ash's Kalos team, Ash was cooking with that one. Talonflame is my favourite regional bird (I used it in XY and USUM), Goodra was really adorable and I really liked Greninja's whole character arc including Ash Greninja. Overall his Kalos team was really solid and it was done dirty l, especially Goodra.

hmm favorite team. I'd give it to Sinnoh. Infernape is memorable, Torterra is a badass, so was staraptor, gliscor was awesome, gibble was such a fun pokemon, as was his buizel and his fight me mentality and ice aqua jet. definitely the most popular opinion, one that I share and expected to share with most of the comments here. Infernape was a beast, buizel's fight with drapion against paul in the league was very memorable. Honestly I think i liked that team the most because not only was the team very strong relative to Ash's team, but I think the battles and animation went up a notch. Props to the writers for that region.

I would like George to join for the Platinum run, unless it's too much work for you then maybe he can just be a guest like this series. Is it gonna be a nuzlocke? I forget.

Ash’s Gen 7 is probably my fav for the personalities of each member. Gen 4 and 6 teams are also great, but I personally preferred his team before he caught gible (which felt like zero impact overall for him) and in Kalos Felt like the beginning of Ash having a bunch of brutes on a team but in Alola they at least felt more more varied in personality and colorful side by side

I'd say Kanto team is my favorite out of nostalgia.

Ash's best team is one that was never featured: Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile, Greninja, and two ringers. Fill in the ringers with your favorites.

Drawing on nostalgia I like the Sinnoh team. They only showed reruns so I never saw the whole series but I watched it even before trying a pokemon game and then one time I tried playing a pokemon game not knowing anything about what to expect and thinking it's just a tie in for the show only to find out I can explore the region myself and go find my own pokemon not just based on Ash's team that shit blew me away. Being a slightly uncreative kid though or maybe just because I liked the cartoon I did copy Ash sometimes and pick Chimchar because of Ash's Chimchar. the luxray vision episode also made luxray permanently one of my favourites

good looks yeah a couple people pointed out that 2nd return tm i totally forgot about that. will definitely be doing that since we have 2 normal types. and yeah lmao easy ad placement, yeah a lot of mf'ers are dying in that nuzlocke. My most favorite of ash’s team is the world champion team, lucario and dragonite were mons he should’ve used on his journey long ago but the writers saved the fan favorites for the grand finale.

honestly can't blame them for it. throw in gengar to that list too. what an insane team. although i think in place of like dracovish and sirfetched he could've thrown in ash greninja and his charizard. what a busted gimmicky fight that could've been.

Ash's Kalos team has to be the best imo, sure it dies to boltbeam 100% but it has most of the heat from the new region, the psuedo, the gale wings warrior, and of course Ash Greninja, plus it was the first time Ash had a full team of fully evolved mons (minus pikachu of course)

I’m going to say his Kalos team was the best of Ashes teams and this is coming from someone who grew up with the advanced generation and DP era. Those two being second and third. And yes happy birthday Joe

Yeah my personal favorite of the Kalos teams battles was probably the psychic type gym leader battle. Also I didn’t mention this originally but I think adding George Bush for the next game is a good idea. Each one will be able to take on 2 gyms, and an elite 4 member and they can have a battle on showdown to see who faces the champion. It be perfectly fair for everyone

I like his Kalos team. It's a shame that he released Greninja and Goodra though. Plus I like how George questioned about how Tabitha was named a male admin.

His gen 4 team is my favorite. His Infernape and Torterra were great, Gligscor was a cool mon, and I can't remember if Luxray was one of his mons (Sorry haven't seen it in a while). It was one of the few times Ash had mostly evolved mons and great ones at that. Wish Infernape got more recognition cause I feel like he's Ash's best fire pokemon.

can't argue with that. definitely my favorite too. he did not have a luxray, you're probably confusing that with the fact that luxray found its way on everyone's gen 4 team in the games alongside infernape and staraptor, which ash did have!

this is true. I forgot about krookodile and leavanny so i gave them a little bit of a shoutout during that whole thing. Although I couldn't find a sad picture of krookodile so just went with krokorok.

You can actually get two return tms if you want one for Kecleon, there's one located in Pacifilog Town
