Seems like it would make sense to have some group sit down and do the following: Calculate just how much land it would take to produce enough plant based food to meet the complete nutritional needs to feed the population. Analyze how much fertile land is available taking into account the different nutritional needs of those plants. Analyze the amount of various fertilizers and other soil amendments required to successfully raise all of the plants. Analyze the requirements to transport the required soil amendments and fertilizers to optimal plant growing regions from optimal amendment and fertilizer production regions. Analyze the amount of fresh water required to ensure the viability of the plants taking into account the amount of fresh water required to support the population. Calculate the environmental costs and benefits of making all of the changes required to make a vegan diet feasible for the population. Make those findings public. I'm sure I've overlooked things and that additional items would need to be added to make the assessment complete and as accurate as possible, but this seems like a reasonable start

Vegetarian, about to go vegan. Absolutely agree, we have to do something more drastic. People are either completely unaware or just do not care. Either way the party is soon to be over. Why would I be in panic? Geology is a beautiful thing. We’ve had periods of global warming and cooling lasting centuries. All this when our population was a fraction of what it is now. I studied geology BUT we need to understand also of entropy meaning every action causes chaos however those actions causes different ‘amount’ of chaos so low entropy actions causes less chaos so yes we have been in warming period and yes we were in cold periods on medieval age however our actions have become more complex and frankly higher in entropy so i believe there are more than just nature hell we ARE changing the nature and its courses why think otherwise when it comes to global warming?
