I appreciate and respect Mr Phoenix for what he did. Growing up on a farm, I hated when a hog was murdered at Thanksgiving and a steer was murdered at Christmas for meat to do us all year. I couldn't run far enough to escape the sounds. My family laughed at me because I wouldn't participate. One steer I raised on a nipple bucket named Ferdinand. He'd come running as soon as he seen me. I didn't realize he would be murdered in time. It literally broke my heart. Cows are smart, they have feelings and strong emotions. Never got over it. That was almost 50 years ago. Forgive me Ferdinand, I couldn't stop it. I miss you!

I'm so sorry for all of the farm kids who had this happen. You and "Pie Rat" are not alone. When we are under our parent's care we must eat what they feed us. Ridiculing us or punishing us or forcing us to "eat it all" before leaving the table is just wrong. It isn't your fault that Ferdinand and Franni were killed. Your deep empathy and compassion have saved the lives of countless animals who would have been deliberately bred into existence and needlessly slaughtered. At a petting zoo near my house a cow recently passed away from natural causes...age 28. Most cows barely make it past 2.

@@olegmindrescu2127 hey not the one u asked but i think i can give u some advice.. ive been going to the gym for 8 years and lens have been my main source for proteins since then. doesent have the best biological value but combining it with bread does the job. other great sources are rice, beans and tofu. my main source for good fats have been sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, any nuts and oil ofcourse.

I love cows and like to see happy cows. They always deserve this life, dairy and meat farming are so cruel, they must be banned like egg and poultry farming, wool and fur farming, all industries who make money with animal suffering.

I met farm animals they are the sweetest animals ever and I would especially love a pig. I don’t if a pig would be cut out though for living in an apartment

This made me cry so much, these animals represent the billions who are being abused and murdered. We must work together to make this stop forever.Thankyou Mr Phoenix for your courage to speak out. This video is so hard hitting idk how people could watch this and then continue to consume dairy and cow flesh, not to mention the other species of animal who humans treat like filth.

Moos are very smart, loving, curious creatures with their own individual personalities. I befriended one on my work route. It started with me just stopping one day and petting him. Then I started bringing him fruits and veggies. Then I bought him a brush and would brush him. Sometimes I would even play guitar for him. He was so awesome. He was like a dinosaur sized dog. I loved him more than any pet I've ever had. And I've had a lot of pets. I even stopped eating beef because of him. He was sold and I don't know what happened to him. But he still fills my heart with love and happiness whenever I think of him.

More reasons to love this guy and farmsanctuary.

Lovely to know your mum is involved too. Our age group are usually slower to adjust our thinking to cruelty free, simply because our indoctrination and desensitisation has been over a long period. There is so much to be done and thank you for using your celebrity to raise awareness to the mindless slaughter .

I had a very similar experience the first time I met a cow on a farm while I was involved in building and financing a recording studio on this farm . The penny dropped when I looked in her eyes and I felt deep remorse and impotence as I was not able to take her out of that situation . I said I was sorry to her and promised I would not hurt her kind again and do what I could for them . I felt her communicate pure love forgiveness and an almost motherly understanding towards me. She left an ever lasting impression . From that moment I stopped eating cows , that was the start of becoming Vegan

There's tons of people trying to give away free animals on craigslist (livestock animals too) that need homes. Save them. Give money to saving them. Coordinate with people. Protest. Lobby. Call, write, petition....the problem is so massive and with so few people working on it. So every single one of us that cares about this needs to give out 110%! Get started tonight!

My mom grew up in Northeast Iowa. There were small family farms where, yes, animals were slaughtered. It was not the best for the animals but it was a small family farm business. Then came the factory farms in the late '80s and '90s. They bought out the family farms. No one seemed to notice what was happening. Now we are upset about this. It is good that you are rescuing these precious animals but at the same time I can't help thinking, where were all the movie stars when the family farms were being sold off to factory farms?
