I luuuv that movie too! I really liked hearing the stories about Joan and Betty Davis. I believe there was competitive nature to their relationship but probably some respect for one another. "Fued" was so good but there are some great documentaries and interviews about them here on KZread. 😊 P.S. ooh I just remembered that A&E biography series is a good one about so many of old Hollywood and I'm fascinated with that, I don't have much of the same passion as I do for classic Hollywood. You know here in Greece almost no-one knows Joan Crawford and when I tell them that I simply adore Hollywood's Golden Era and especially Joan Crawford they look at me like I am from another planet and I get so annoyed because without old Hollywood, the movies they all know today wouldn't even exist!

My favourite actress is Bette Davis but i do love Joan Crawford too !! 🥰

I actually own a book by Eartha Kitt called "Rejuvenate! It's Never Too Late", and it has a lot of her health and diet tips in there. Many of them are very realistic and easy to follow.

Laura, thank you for his video! Joan was a fantastic actress! Her Mommy Dearest Movie, by her daughter Christine, gave us a different view or her! Her diet of Cottage Cheese and Pineapple is delicious to eat! She needed to add salads with her beef and tomatoes! Along with the spinach and eggs to make an omelet! Also she needed to take vitamins; as well! Thanks for the vlog and the name of her book! 👍🎬👍

I admire Joan very much and she has been so unfairly slandered and maligned by people who did not have the guts to attack her while she was alive. Having said that, I would not swap my diet for hers at any cost! Eating like that, little wonder if she sometimes became rather cross!

As I result, although I am sure that growing up with Joan Crawford could not have been a peaceful experience, I cannot give any credit to anything in that book. Regards.

thank you! clearly she did not get along with christopher & christina, and i would never defend abuse but that book is a clear cash grab after joan’s death. so many sources close to them say that not only were the accusations exaggerated/false, but that christina is not taking accountability for her own bad behavior.

1 container of cottage cheese, container Cool Whip, fat can tropical fruit (drained), 1 large box of your favorite fruit Jell-O.....mix and refrigerate till firm,,,,,OMG! Only way to eat cottage cheese!

People had a completely life style back then! There was not much room for lazyness. Take a typical housewife day for example. No microwaves, no washing machines, dishes and clothes had to be washed by hand.

Oh, there is that one funny old article where she spoke of having more of a craving for a dill pickle opposed to something sweet!

Please consider doing episodes about Gloria Swanson and Catherine deceuve of you haven’t already. It would be fun to see episodes about the Brady bunch mom - Carol (Florence Henderson) & the partridge family mom - Shirley (Shirley Jones) if you have not featured them already. I’d also love to see a episode about Shelly Winters - she was a terrific actress and very funn

I love fried apples but forgo the lemon juice due to an allergy. Growing up in the 80s my family used to eat cottage cheese at dinner with peaches or berries on it actually. It wasn’t weird to us and I do not hate cottage cheese. I eat spinach salad every week but not with bacon because I’m a pescatarian. The way these people ate is so amazing to me, I could never be ok eating pork chops or beef or a boiled egg. I guess I eat weirdly compared to others, I like sugar. I like ugly fruit though. Yummy

You do several diets but I would like to share a tour of universal studios back stage in California in the nineties. I saw a vending machine for actors or in studio people filled with oranges, apples, small portions of carrots, little tea sandwiches all things healthy that had compartments you just lifted and took along with water or juice. We went back to the public side and the vending machine had snickers, Doritos, Coke’s and all things junk food along with prices to put in the vending machine.

Omg I feel anxious just hearing her diet. Very scary lack of nutrition and I bet that's why she was so mean. If she did take amphetamines too it's no wonder she flipped out.
