Fun to see the progression of that crossover. Snappin like a yo-yo vs. Florida in 2010.
Imagine jimmer played curry in the 2008 tourney😳
One of the greatest shooters in the college game I ever saw. Although he has established his own legacy and dominance playing in China, it still boggles my mind that he never panned out in the NBA considering what the NBA game has evolved to and how good a shooter he is. I know he is a liability on the defensive end, but the NBA doesn't play much defense, anyway.

Too bad Brandon Davies got suspended by violating the BYU honor code while just entering the postseason during Jimmer's senior year. Chalk that up to the "what might have been" list.

I know your comment is 7 months old, but I think about that kind of a lot. Of course nothing is 100%, but that sweet 16 loss was in OT and it seems reasonable to think Davies could've made BYU at least 1 point better over those 40 minutes.
Thank you Jimmer. For the memories and highlight reel.
The Raptors should've landed him. The way that organization works with their players, man its something else. Seeing players like Pascal, Fred V, etc. But Jimmer, he already had that talent and skill. The development under the Raptors organization would've made him a superstar.

No, it wouldn't have. He might've hung around in the league, though, with better coaching. Van Vleet would've torched him in college. Van Vleet played for a top 10 college team where he couldn't just jack up shots all game long like Jimmer did at BYU. Put FVV, or most NBA PGs, on BYU and they'll put up huge numbers.
And I was at BYU for the entire ride. Perfect timing on my part.

My boy
I'm convinced that there are a dozen, maybe more, franchises that could have turned Jimmer into at LEAST a very good rotation player in the NBA. He's not a worse defender than a guy like Jordan Clarkson, and he's an absolutely ridiculous scorer. But of course, he went to the Sacramento Kings, where lottery picks go to die. When a franchise has had as many "busts" as the Kings have, it's the franchise, not the players.

Not sure why Jimmer didn't work out in the NBA. I don't see much difference in play between he and Steph 🤷
Stephen curry stole his moves
Even in this, you can tell why he struggled in the NBA 80% of the highlight were 3s, half of it were bad shots(either contested or long 3s) And his moves would not work on NBA players as an unathletic undersized PG Moves that'll have trouble working on NBA defenders: 1:06 He reverts back to his right hand when he should've shoot with his left, it'll get block by NBA bigs or wings easily 1:19 I swear I watched Embiid blocks shots like this like thirty times 1:36 Same problem, going under with his right when he should've use his left hand 2:34 He didn't trap his defender completely, long-armed defenders like Thybulle or Boucher would punish him for it There are too many to list it all
