What's missing in China is the concept of agressive movement defense. That'll come with time. They need to import a bunch of excellent defensive players to cross-polinate the skills in that regard and up the total quality over there. Andrew Wiggins is a really, really good to one day, becoming a great NBA player. He's by far and miles away, MUCH MUCH better than Jimmer can ever imagine in his dreams of being and Wiggins will have a long and successfull NBA career, retire as a NBA player and not go overseas unless it's for signing and promoting overseas sneaker endorsements making millions or planned vacations with family/friends and that includes taking cruise ships. Jimmer's basketball abilities maxed out while he was in college scoring the basketball in bunches and in the NBA, he was strictly a coming off the pick or screen, spot up jump shooter who could not play effectively enough on a consistent basis against NBA competition (he got drafted into the NBA years ago and failed, that's why he's playing overseas) because his game is not athletic enough, not physical enough or versatile enough and most importantly, he's too slow, his game is soft, his ball handling skills are limited and he can't guard anybody in NBA. He cannot guard anyone in the NBA and that's why you only have a few white "American" basketball players in the NBA.....and do not count any foreign white NBA players as white NBA players you would like to include..... they don't count. Not athletic enough, fast enough or quick enough to defend really fast and really quick NBA point guards and NBA shooting guards. Who in the NBA can Jimmer on offense, break down with his limited ball handling skills, create enough space off the dribble to get his jump shot off or drive to the basket? Who? Certainly not Wiggins or anybody else in the NBA. He can get away with his weak limited offensive skills (jump shot/driving to the basket) bullshit playing against lesser overseas competition but in the NBA, he will be man handled and embarrassed in every game and that is, if he actually gets to play. I watched The Basketball Tournament (TBT) over the summer and saw Jimmer play with his squad he put together getting buckets but keep in mind, he was playing with and against lesser overseas competition no different that he is and against several retired and older NBA players........ that's not today's NBA competition and when he got D'ed up, he struggled. Andrew Wiggins is exactly where he is supposed to be in his basketball life and...... Jimmer is exactly where he's supposed to be in his basketball life...... playing basketball overseas as a starter against lesser competition, getting buckets, being famous and getting paid in China and not riding the pine, warming the bench in the NBA getting cut from team to team after every season being a career journeyman NBA player for his entire NBA career. Jimmer dreaming of a return to the NBA? Continue dreaming.

Jimmer believes in his heart that he's gotten better.......gotten better for overseas basketball but not for the NBA. Not even close. His basketball limitations still, are many and it takes more than a single sentence or a single paragraph to fully explain to my responded why Jimmer still isn't NBA ready and having playing success in China is still his best business investment because he will fail once again in the NBA. Everything can't be explained in today's microwave culture in one or two sentences and for me if anyone can't explain in detail with understanding, that clearly indicates limited real world business/life experience(s), a short attention span, limited reading skills and limited reading comprehension skills.......and in this particular case,, not wanting to hear the raw truth about Jimmer Ferdette limited professional basketball skills. It nobody or very few reads it, so what because it's only aimed at one person and if he refuses to read it.......Oh well, his educational loss.

Jimmer tries to come back to the NBA, he probably won't make it through the preseason and if he does, he's not even the 6th, 7th or 8th man on the bench roster in the normal rotation structure but no more than the lead is too great be it his team or opponent, to catch up and now all about the last 2-3 minutes, garbage time pick up basketball......and he will lose a ton of money playing in the NBA when China pays him very well. Don't leave and messup your paychecks. Spot up/coming off the pick or screen jump shooters are a dime a dozen in the NBA and Jimmer doesn't play any defense because he's a white American whose not quick enough or fast enough to defend African American point and shooting guards.

People say he's bad because he doesn't play defense, when was the last time you saw any nba player play defense ? He could easily play in the nba, you have people like melo, jason terry, george hill, danny green, these are all scrubs yet they still play and some even start. You get this man 15 shots a game and he'll get you 24 points, that's pretty good. I think Jimmer's problem has always been that he wanted all the attention, not the fact that he can't play. He's plenty good enough for the nba, but he was to be the #1 option.

Damn....that's why you make sure you take the final shot. Worst case scenario it goes to overtime. That had to have stung really bad to lose that game after scoring 75 points.

@@wongtouski Pierre Jackson has was solid when the Mavs gave him the 10-day contract. When the Mavs wanted to sign him, he got injured, then Yogi Ferrell scored like 30 and secured his contract... so we don't need him anymore, poor him.

marshon brooks is forgotten for 4 years in China comes back last year for Memphis Grizzlies and shots like 50% from 3 point....and AVG: 21 PPG and is extended on a 2 year deal at 29 years old and currently while he isnt receiving the minutes as he was last year the GRIZZ are 29th in offensive efficiency without him on floor, And 10th in the nba in offense efficiency with him on the court and averaging close to 10 pts per game.....So all that to say just because jimmer isn't in the nba doesn't mean he can't play or wouldn't be a very good nba player. What it does mean is that the NBA isn't exclusively about having the best and most entertaining product

Nor was it his man.. They may have won the game, but the story of that game was all about Jimmer. Pierre Jackson’s guys came to play.. Randolph severely outplayed scola. A China teammate for Pierre went 7 for 8 From three. And leading up to that shot, Shanghai had been able to get the ball out of Jackson’s hands. Nobody could get the ball out of jimmers hands.. 24 for 34.. 7 for 10... down 20 in the sec half.. took the lead with 5 sec left.. scored 40 in a quarter...
