Jimmer Fredette 70 Points | Shanghai Sharks vs Sichuan Blue Whales (1/24/21)

HE DID IT AGAIN!!!!! In one of the craziest games I have ever watched, Jimmer had 70 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks (18/36 FG)(11/22 3PT)(23/23 FT) and the Sharks still lost 136-129 in 2OT to Sichuan! Marcus Georges-Hunt had 68 points for Sichuan.

Another perspective: maybe let this help you respect anyone in the NBA. Look at what Jimmer does consistently in CBA and hasn't been picked up by any NBA team. Yes, Ben, sucks at in game shooting but he makes up for it with defence and etc.

Basketball is basketball, no matter where you go. Try dropping 70% of the buckets in a pick up game at the park, or 70% of the points in a local league. If you can do that, that’s impressive. In the NBA he just isn't fast enough, strong enough or even smart enough to pull a quarter of what he does in the CBA. There's a reason he's in china and not Europe. Imagine if teams in the NBA had to defend this guy. Unguardable. Steph Curry would be the next Jimmer. Luckily he plays overseas.

What people don't understand is he's a streak shooter. He needs to get going but once he does he can do this type of stuff. He's better than a lot of current backup point guards in the NBA.

No he's really not. At some point we have to accept that Jimmer's game is just not a good fit for the NBA.
