    I’m confused as to what counts as a defender reacting. Is it if they try to cut your driving angle off by shifting laterally, or is it when they switch their top foot?

  • @failure4521
    @failure45216 ай бұрын

    Thanks for great video coach. But i have some question. when should i use my pull ups? When defender reacts? Or he doesn't? And also I'm curious about your second "wrong" reads. I think the defender reacted to left in second example. Then, isn't a good decision to go right?

  • @themajesticwaterdragon4330

    @themajesticwaterdragon4330

    6 ай бұрын

    Generally, if they don't react and there's enough space, you shoot. Or if for example your defender reacts by moving backwards instead of side to side on your moves.

  • @SammyK-ye9yd
    @SammyK-ye9yd2 ай бұрын

    Hey Coach what do you suggest when a defender is squared up defensively, very low, is about an arm length distance, and has good balance? I tried jabbing to the right to see if he would bite so I could shift him but he wouldn't move, the problem is his stance is so wide its like trying to find the angle around the Great Wall of china. Do I do a setback jumper? Can you talk about when to pull up over a defender vs attacking the front foot?

  • @johnspencer4769

    So flat footed/ open up to you = shot, right = left, snatchback, innout, AI cross, left = same as right

  • @Leo-em5je
    @Leo-em5je5 ай бұрын

    Does the fact that the defense reacts more or less depends on what part of the feet is placed on the ground? Well, if the defense is flat footed, should we go just for a direct drive or shoot and when the top half of the feet only are on the ground shouldn't we try to fake a bit more and attack just after?

    you will probably not see this comment but here are some things i taught were good/bad about the video. i liked: the first segment of the video of how you went over the basics. the nba players as examples. the quick tempo what could use improvement: the second segment was very unclear to me about what i needed to "look"at or what i needed to see. the iq test dint explain WHY that was the best option. its like taking a math test but not getting the result back and only a number so u dint know what u did wrong. anyway i have been keeping track of your channel since 2019 and i know this is just 1 channel. i recommend my players to watch your videos's if they struggle with one specific thing. keep it up🥰🙌

    I read every comment my man. You make fair points. I got my own style of making videos. I try not to over-explain. I leave some things up to interpretation. You can watch the videos multiple times and find different things you can apply to your game. Regarding the "IQ tests" there are not necessarily wrong or right answers. The point is getting you to make decisions instead of watching passively. And seeing moves that work, even though the "correct" decision made was not the only option.
