That episode is one of my favorite pieces of television to ever exist. Like, friends I have who aren't wrestling fans get hooked when I show them the New Jack episode. It's honestly a testament to New Jack because he really had everything; the ability to scare you, shock you, and make you laugh all at the same time.

I was an ECW addicted lunatic as a teenager and got to see New Jack perform live in Tallahassee Florida and was lucky enough to be sitting right by the entrance where wrestlers walked out. Before the show I saw New Jack peeking through the black curtain hanging down in the entrance. I was with my family and showed them New Jack was right there maybe 10-12 feet away. I started yelling New Jack New Jack!!! could you sign this?? I held out a piece of paper of some kind and he motioned to pass it to the security guard. He handed it to New Jack through the curtain and he signed it and passed it back. I remember yelling thanks man and couldn't believe how cool that gesture was coming from such a hardcore performer. Not to get racially charged about it but as a white teenager I found it cool that New Jack didn't just say fuck you white boy or something to stay in character ha ha ha. I took that piece of paper and slid it into my "Best of New Jack" vhs tape where it has remained until this day. I truly love watching New Jack matches and enjoy the roller coaster of emotions his shoot interviews will take you on. From laughter to sadness to shock and cringing at the insanity or disturbing scenes of some of his acts in matches. New Jack made you feel the realness and absolute authenticity to his character. RIP New Jack and thanks for the memories!!

No matter what else, the fact is that he literally was THE last wrestler ever to truly keep Kayfabe and protect the business in his way all the way until the end of his life. For that he has my respect. I remember his Dark Side of The Ring interview where he said he imagined himself when old to be on a wheelchair snorting Cocaine. It is unfortunate that he didn't get to that. RIP New Jack. Your legacy will live on in both fame and infamy, and I am sure you wouldn't want it any other way. Also, read this in YT comment and had to share it: "My Personal Story about New Jack he was doing a indy show in my hometown and the promoter stiffed him of his pay so he started selling the promoters s*** in the parking lot me and my dad bought a speaker from New Jack and got an autograph he was a cool guy"

New Jack was a heat magnet when allowed to be who he was. So legit and real with a way to convey himself to the audience. Wish he was still around to teach young wrestlers to be yourself and speak and let the cards fall where they may. He was one of a kind in the early ecw era......no one knew wtf would happen when he showed up!

When I actually think about it if Jack was in WWF/E during Attitude era he probably would have been mid card at best, but he possibly would have been one of the best talkers there at that time, kind of like a Road Dogg a mid card wrestler who was figured into the overall picture at the time mainly because he was a hell of a Promo. Could you imagine New Jack and Road Dogg going at each other on the mic untill a brawl breaks out. That would have been something too see!!!

Yeah he was definitely unique the only wrestler to ever try and intentionally kill another wrestler. By the way you need to learn how to spell it’s choked up not “chocked”

Really bruh? A garbage wrestler trying to kill other wrestlers gets you in your feels? Might I suggest finding news clippings on the holocaust. It would be like watching the end of titanic for you.

@@gregsanders9386 naaahhh. It's not talking ahit. This guy was a criminal. He got clean away with felony assault based on "it's only rasslin " pizza cutters cheese graters are not wrestling holds. Throwing vic Grimes from the top of a scaffold is not a piledriver....this man was garbage and old Jimbo oldschool up there is burying vic grimes( another shit stain by the way) and John Moxley while crying in his cheerios over new jack. The hypocrisy is appaling.

New Jack was a guy that, even if you hated hardcore wrestling, a lot of fans still liked him, because he felt real. With a lot of guys, you could tell it was a gimmick, but with Jack, you felt he was truly a gangsta, and you didn't want to piss him off away from the ring. Even in a shoot interview, it was hard to tell if he was working or speaking the truth. RIP Jack. Thanks for the memories.🙅
