1:58 the part where Carry pushes the girl out of the way, it was improvised. I once got to meet Chris Kattan after a standup show, I asked him about this specific scene in the skit and he gave me a nice 5 minute story how it was improvised by Carrey to push Cheri out of the way without him telling Chris or Will. @@patfrerking To an extent, Farley’s death also had something to do with wanting to be taken seriously. From Farley, he did want to always be known as “that fat guy that falls down”. I think his death had something to do with his self esteem… Anyways, the culture today wouldn’t have allowed comedy that Farley and Carrey did back then. You can already see many negative comments on Carrey’s old films (ex. Ace Ventura) from this generation screaming “sexist”.

I had Jim's entire episode on VHS and I used to watch it ALL THE TIME. This episode was one of the best SNL episodes ever. Every sketch hit. I wish SNL posted more of them from this episode.
If I did my research correctly, this particular episode of "The Roxbury Guys" recurring sketch originally aired on Saturday Night Live (SNL) on May 18, 1996 with Jim Carrey as the show's guest host. It marked the first time that Haddaway's hit song "What Is Love?" was used in the sketch, as well as the first time that the show's guest host (Carrey) was featured as the third member of "The Roxbury Guys". It was the 20th and final episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) to air during the show's 21st season (406th episode overall since SNL's beginning in 1975).

I watch this at least once a month ahahah
I had no idea this was originally an SNL skit! The phone flipping and antenna pushing… then blowing the CD. The late 90s/early 00s were something else 😂
Можно смотреть бесконечно!))
Jim carrey is the LEGEND of comic expressions 😘
Wish I had my teenage years in the 90s. What a world. This on the other hand, one of the best SNL skits ever aired.

I was a little too young in 90s. Hit my teens early 2000s. 90s wouldve been a fun teenage time.

Priceless. 😂The undisputed GOAT of "What Is Love".
This man Jim Carrey is so legendary man 😂😂😂
They finally nailed them old ladies, proper 60s girlz that can handle real crazy😂

This sketch is too funny and I always wondered what made them choose Hardaway's song "What is Love". It just adds to the humor of the skit. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jim carey was such a great actor. He would give you 100% of his acting

Who's watching before New Years Eve Party? xD
Now that's a night out on the town. And I definitely know the feeling when you have a jam that just get you all the time. I have a video from the early 2000's of my brother doing this while drinking to network it's one of my favorite memories
What a legend. Castmates say Jim Carrey was extremely hard to work with on SNL - he would commit so much into his skit roles that he was hard to keep up with. That's Will Ferrell, "having trouble keeping up with Jim Carrey"

You can see this a little, sometimes 3 elements dont gel perfectly but it was a solid 8/10 even if the other two struggled a bit.

I had to search, I recognized two legends from Snl and I knew what to say on KZread and damn what a treat of laughs I had. Last scene, I almost got into something like that after a long night of hunting fresh honey and resorted to the elders... 😅😅😅😅
I miss the comedic genius of those days. Unmatched and unique
