Welcome to the Letterman KZread Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

@@AR-ed3xw Well - in the pre-Letterman KZread channel days, he was always quick with a tribute to the recently departed. And I believe the Letterman YT channel brought him on to do some work when they started up.

I don’t understand your comment. Maybe, it is because I never heard of the Worldwide Pants or maybe because I have never been a football fan. However, I am a fan of Jim Brown.

Way to go Dave. 👏

R.I.P. to the legend! the Man! go BROWNS!
A legend
He might have been a great running back....but he was never a guest on The Barbara Gaines Show.
RIP Jim Brown. Sounds like the owners of a defense contractor were using him as a cutout to collect sweetheart deals for having "minority ownership". A lot of companies do this to qualify for federal contracting minority set asides.
Letterman asked ridiculous questions. Jim Brown maintained his dignity non the less

you have impeccable taste in idols....
Franco Harris never did pass Jim Brown on the rushing yardage list. He made the error in judgment of going to Dan Rooney and asking for a huge raise, whereupon the Steelers promptly released him. And while the incident didn't cause a permanent rift in his relationship with the team, Harris ended his career with a very forgettable season with the Seattle Seahawks.
RIP 🙏
There's actually a real gold fish behind Dave.
Jim Brown could have gained a thousand yards rushing in a season at age 50-no question about it.
Quick on the upload
I heard he was going to try that Power Slap thing and compete against women.

He was worried about Franco break the record the next season (84) he should have been worried about Payton who actually did break it the next season.

Brown had bottomless respect for Walter Payton. Brown hated the way Franco was chipping away at the record by running out of bounds.
Jim Brown is one of the greatest running backs of all time. My personal GOAT pick is Walter Payton but Jim is probably 2nd GOAT. He is most definitely one of the greatest football players ever for sure. He also did an excellent job playing defensive coordinator Montezuma in Any Given Sunday a.k.a. one of the best movies ever about pro football. He was an ambassador to the game, an icon in Cleveland, and a legendary historical figure to the world. There will never be another Jim Brown. Rest in Peace, Jim. Thank you for the memories. We will miss you. 🏈
