You are right Jim. You can see it in movies now where the script and plot is accelerated and sped up to keep the audience attention span. Before, movies were slower, took time to build characters and plot. Even with cellphones and social media, information is supposed to come quick and go quick. No time to ruminate on something, really absorb it, draw inspiration from it, think rationally about it.

I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their child-raising practices and skills mixed with their unparalleled work ethic are second to none. Their rational and logical thought toward circumstances coupled with their innate capability to de-escalate situations is to be envied and coveted. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African-Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self-improvement, hard work and a self-reliant nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.

@Dante Carroll Frazier hurts every time he thinks of Ali. His hostility still rages within. It's a consuming, ugly bitterness he has carried for decades, the result of the hurtful things Ali has said. He insulted his intelligence, his character and his lack of black pride. Ali called Frazier ugly and ignorant and, most disturbingly, an Uncle Tom. Frazier, the son of South Carolina sharecroppers, was deeply wounded by Ali's ridicule which was accepted as socio-political fact and isolated Frazier from the black community. Ali somehow succeeded in making a fight between two African - American men a matter of black and white. Throughout the black community, he was an object of derision and scorn because of the way Ali treated him, it was cruel. The hatred grew intensely within Frazier. He was unable to compete with Ali's eloquence, but he had a left hook that could do the talking for him. Frazier, with loating in his heart and thunder in his Everlast gloves, punished Ali for the things he said. Notice after Ali vs Frazier 1 fight announcers said Frazier was feeling sic in his corner and he just wanted to go back to dressing room. That's because Joe couldn't slow his heart and nervous system back down to a resting state. Joe already had history of high blood pressure and diabetes, he spent nearly two weeks in the hospital for exhaustion, blood pressure, diabetes and kidney problems.. BUT BUT when he was in his 40s Joe was out dancing and singing in the clubs while Ali couldn't talk and his tremors were getting worse. Younger folks haven't a clue what Ali actually did to Joe, let me explain by saying it's exactly like today's Hollywood liberal cancel culture. Frazier hated that Louisville Lip and before fight he got on his knees and prayed to God that he could make Ali perish. Personally i have to admit, everytime Frazier smacked Ali i cheered, WE ALL CHEERED 👋👋👋👋👋👋 MILLIONS CHEERED.

J S yes and you did say the same thing to someone else. Never saw the movie or anything else with Will Smith except Men in Black. And unlike some people who comment here I’m old enough to have watched Ali box back in the day. Perhaps any good that he did in his life outside the ring, raising consciousness against the Vietnam war, fighting for civil liberties and the rights of African Americans etc... are actually the things that you object to. And your comment about his skin color... well you’ve tipped your hand.

Until he became an olympic torch-bearing Tom in his twilight years.
Not only was Ali right about the war, but he put his money - and his freedom - where his mouth is. He accepted the consequences of his refusal to participate in the war, consequences to his boxing career and that lost wealth, and the specter of prison. He didn't run and hide, he stood up publicly for what he believed in. And in the end, the Supreme Court overturned his conviction. Muhammad Ali was right.

Where was Muhammad Ali going to hide? He had hopes of returning to the ring. Hiding would have ended those hopes. Nobody knows what his reasons were for refusing service. He may have been scared, it may have been religious belief, nobody knows except him. If you don't go because you're scared of dying of course you can't admit that so you have to make up an excuse. Most don't consider it heroic to refuse to go to war when called. In hindsight the war was crap but we didn't know the particulars at the time. Whatever he lost regarding his career can't be considered a sacrifice because 56,000 sacrificed their lives and hundreds of thousands came back physically compromised. Many others returned mentally compromised and were scorned as if the war was their fault even tho' they had no choice but to serve. A lot of suffering all the way around but at the time, deserters/those who refused to go weren't viewed as taking a stance against the war, rather, as cowards and unpatriotic. All of us prefer no war and it's true the government goes to war for reasons kept to themselves. They're evil in that it's primarily a way for a handful ofbdemons to make money, a sick excuse to sacrifice other childrens lives.

@Balkan Wolf Hello sir , could I if you please clear that point for you ? Actually we have a lot of kinds of holy orders but in general too simplify it for you we can sort them into 2 types : A) duty or obligation >> that you have to do (like pray , fasting and some other things) B) prophetal tradition >> that you would be better if you did but won't be bad if you didn't . simply they are like MUST Vs SHOULD in English grammer
Great conversation.
Muhammad Ali a shining example of what American society can produce he exercised his right of choice like a real man no matter the personal cost
It’s funny how the interviewer has to fight to get in a few words because the champs so damn charismatic
Muhammad was such a deep thinking and respected man. Watching him carry the olympic torch when he had advanced Parkinson's disease is soo heartfelt. The symbol of what he and America stands for.
Ali was so intelligent I could watch him talk all day🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Such a honest man Mohammed Ali was May God rest his soul in peace.
