I seized the opportunity and asked him if he really does experience 'warning burns' during a hot bath before his backside has even kissed the water. At first he appeared puzzled by my question until it dawned on him what I was hinting at before telling me I was out of order to ask such a thing. Our encounter was pretty much awkward from then on as we both remained silent until his cab appeared.

Even better in 2024
Jim was actually a very good stand up comic with an excellent flowing style.
Rest in peace, Jim - top man, non-PC at its' best. Bulleseye - highest rated game show, and a Sunday institution x
super smashing great

I had a job as a bin man in Camden for about 2 years, I was sure Jim Bowen drove one of the trucks same voice, same jokes, same everything. It was a scream every time I got rotered onto that round.

Thanks Jim. Brilliant..
RIP Jim, funny guy. He made Bullseye what it was. Oddball contestants and shit prizes, it would of fell on its arse a lot earlier if Jim hadn't hosted it..

cracking and classic wish things were still like this
What a gifted man Jim was. A great comedian. Bullseye was a great British show.Every episode was full of suspense..Huge thank you Jim and RIP...
Jim Bowen was never my favourite comedian back in the days , but he certainly shined on the stage here . 👌 His take on Max Wall was funny aswell as some of the one liners like Turkey and Greece 😃 🇬🇧🆓
Only knowing him from Bullseye it was a surprise the first time I saw this, it's like the first time I heard my mum swear
Great, smashing, super, RIP Jim.

Not surprising considering most new music is absolute shyte
Hilarious from start to finish! Cried my eyes out laughing! Brilliant!
Jim was actually a School Teacher, who found more financial help as a Comedian than he could ever have earned had he remained a School Teacher. He actually purchased a former Railway Station to make into his home! I know of no other Teacher who could have achieved as much as did Jim who had a great living form bumbling his words on a Show called Bully! A Show formed around a Darts Board game!

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS 25.15 The singing dog, had me in tears, I could just see some bloke doing that on live on TV.
RIP Jim. If you are of an age that remembers "Bullseye" the anecdote at 47:05 is priceless.
Ask him ref ask him 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
Rest easy Jim.
Super, smashing,great
A few years ago, I spotted Linford Christie waiting patiently inside a taxi rank in Sunderland. I seized the opportunity and asked him if he really does experience 'warning burns' during a hot bath before his backside has even kissed the water. At first he appeared puzzled by my question until it dawned on him what I was hinting at before telling me I was out of order to ask such a thing. Our encounter was pretty much awkward from then on as we both remained silent until his cab appeared.
that tesco at 8.25 had me in stitches 🤣
These guys were the best like the funny guy in the pub
I feel sad in a nice way
Great comedian Jim RIP😥

One of the funniest things ove heard in years. Proper old school comedian unlike this modern wave of comedians like those who appear on live at the apollo just swearing there heads off. Jim had that indian accent spot on. Rip jim dont make them like you anymore
Brilliant Jim RIP

Absolutely brilliant.. Better than watching shit on the TV.. I will never forget Bullseye... Eeeeeen one.. A semi detached bungalow in Iran 😀😀

Look at how many of the audience were women! They knew what was coming and they had an ability thats so rare nowadays, THE ABILITY TO LAUGH AT THEMSELVES!!!
They don't make em like this anymore xx
Rest in Peace, he was a true entertainer xxx
I remember and adore Ken Goodwin and The Comedians gang from 1971. Colin Crompton was excellent!
