The Comedians 20th Anniversary Reunion

Bernard Manning, Stan Boardman, Roy Walker, Charlie Williams, George Roper, Mick Miller, Dugie Brown, Ivog Davies and Tony Jo.

As always, i do not own the copyright on this VHS but i do not want this footage to be lost. Many video tapes never made it to DVD and were thrown out. with it snippets of our great comedy history.

Brilliant. Great fun from the days before laughing became illegal. The Comedians in the early 70s was one of the best comedy shows ever. Many went on to become major tv stars.

This is so refreshing. These guys were just being themselves, not tip-toeing over every word they uttered like today's mainstream comedians who are barely off the TV.

Best music, best comedy, no restrictions, just life to be lived. Now we are chained by this and that bag head opinions of what they deem to be right, titular gods that they are. I tell them to feck off and get a life
People who truly appreciate good comedy can appreciate comedy of all vintages. Modern or classic. A laugh's a laugh.

I so enjoyed this, I from 1965, still funny . Love all these comedians. Don't look for offence. Happy days.

Sour faces, now, that need a kick up the arse. I tell them to feck off and get a life
This is comedy I listened too as a kid in the 70's and 80's. My mother had a fantastic sense of humour and she watched all the comedy on TV. I remember her watching the Comedians. I was young and didn't really understand the jokes but I enjoyed hearing my mum laugh. I would always sit and watch Cannon And Ball, Morecombe And Wise and Last Of The Summer Wine. As I hit my teenage years, I grew more towards Bernard Manning, Chubby Brown and Kevin Bloody Wilson. Then alternative comedy scene came in which I also enjoyed, shows like The Young Ones, Bottom and Filthy Rich and Cat Flap. So I thank my mum for bringing comedy in to my life. A sense of humour is the best gift that nature gave to us. And did you know what - I have even shared humour with a Dog, they really do understand humour. I have found that Staffordshire Bull Terriers have the best sense of humour.

A great slice of British culture when we had free speech. Ignore the saddoes who want to judge it through 21st century PC eyes (no idea about perspective, context, British humour, the switch on/off button, they only have a stunted tunnel vision political obsession but they will be laughed at a few decades from now for their foolishness). So glad it was posted!

Fantastic comedy , they were the best , a jokes a joke as Bernard always said , dont take it serious !!! THE ABSOLUTE BEST .Thanks for all the years of laughs boys ...
I grew up when this was going out live on the telly on a Saturday night all those years ago and the impact, which it had, was still the talking point at work on the following Monday onwards - that won’t and doesn’t happen today sadly - but these did have a personality that you could warm to, didn't sneer at the audience like a lot today, but these were wonderful comics and knew they trade, God bless ‘em and sadly missed today in this silly age of PC gone mad.
