At 0:50 you can see Dwight's looking at his watch to time the exact moment where calling for the big company's busiest hour to not get a reply. He also timed the moment Jim would finish his talk and let the customer refuse their offer, then signaled Jim the exact moment when he's supposed to talk about customer service before we hear "please hold" from the phone. Dwight's doing the psycho work, and Jim's leading the conversations accordingly.

I wish they had more scenes like this where they showed that even though it's shit and giggles most of the time, when it comes down to business, they get serious and absolutely slay at that. Which also is a good explanation as to why the DM-HQ puts up with Michaels bs for so long. I liked the show better when it was more rational rather than comical. It was way funnier when the characters actually stayed in character and the sketches haven't become absurd and non relatable

Loved this video from Jim and Dwight, classy stuff, Jason! Make a vid on Mystrika and see how it unleashes the potential of your cold email campaign. I got some ridiculously accurate analytics from my campaigns, trust me, it is a game changer.

This sale, made on a comedy show, legitimately crushes any made on Wolf Of Wall Street, Boiler Room or any other movies about sales.

Hey Jason, another hit video with Jim and Dwight! Here is an idea, how about making a video using Mystrika for lead gen? I have personally seen my sales grow like crazy since starting with this cold email tool. The analytics, the interface, damn, it is top-notch.

It’s funny because the whole reason why they work for a paper merchant is because when writing the original UK version, Ricky Gervais wanted the office environment to be as boring and mundane as possible. It’s deliberately written to be a company that nobody would choose to work for in a town that nobody would choose to live in, and all the employees clearly have no enthusiasm for their job. Tim (the UK’s version of Jim) is even quoted at one point saying “It's better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb than halfway up one you don't” meaning he has no _passion_ for selling paper. But I think that’s hard to translate into a US sitcom because Americans instinctively have a much stronger work ethic than the average Brit (and I’m speaking as one here) and the overall mentality tends to be more about how hard work and dedication equals success and prosperity _no matter_ what line of work you’re in.

Interesting. And very true about the Americans! (Too bad that for all their hard work, they can still get screwed by the government and corporate interests!)
