The Douglas Adams Memorial Lecture is a tribute to the author of the legendary Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and the Founding Patron of Save the Rhino International.
On 18 June 2023, we welcomed guests and supporters for an evening of science, exploration, and comedy, as Professor Jim Al-Khalili and TV producer John Lloyd spoke at the Lecture.
Jim shared the nature of infinity, time, and space, giving answers to the questions you always wanted to know. John read from the hilarious The Meaning of Liff, a book he co-wrote with Douglas Adams, whilst reflecting on his life and career in his trademark witty, yet insightful style.
Jim and John were joined on stage by Jon Taylor, Managing Director of Save the Rhino International, providing an insight into the world of rhino conservation. The evening was hosted by writer, comedian, and serial Douglas fan, Rachel Wheeley.
