    Wow, this video really puts things into perspective! It's fascinating to think about how we humans and our technology are really just tapping into the natural flow of energy from order to disorder in the universe. And now we're on the brink of harnessing the ultimate form of energy through fusion, which could offer us almost unlimited power. But as the video points out, all our efforts are just a tiny blip in the grand scheme of things. The universe is always unraveling and we're just trying to preserve a tiny pocket of order. It's both humbling and inspiring to think about our place in the cosmos. And the idea that information is a fundamental part of the universe is mind-blowing. Thanks for sharing this thought-provoking video!

    "falling apart", "disorder", "it gets worse", "order to disorder" etc. From the beginning of this video (wonderful, by the way, and I love Jim!) I was thinking, "Why? Those are negative words. Seems more like a restrictive state (a block of steel or our body) going towards freedom and beauty."

    Now I wonder if that newly created chaos , which came from order, would get orderly again. For example, a tree looses leaves in fall and then the decaying leaves give energy back to the tree for the new leaves to be created. I found it very inspiring to hear that the heat emitting energies stay (cluster) together. Thank you for uploading. Jim Al-Khalili always a pleasure to watch and listen to.

    @@ulysses1685 You say that life seems like it's working "against" entropy, but think about how good life is at disseminating energy in various forms. And how structures like the planets absorb high energy photons and re-radiate them as many lower energy photons. Things that *seem* "against" entropy often turn out to be serving it somewhere else. The second law isn't violated anywhere. We're just what's happening in the interim of everything being as close together as it can be and everything being as uniformly spread out as it wants to be.

    Chaos isn’t “newly created”, as it’s always been this way, yet scientists are finally moving away from reductionist thinking which has failed on so many levels. Think about why you think what you believe and you’ll realize the truth of how the universe works within your framework. Enjoy the journey 🌹

    Try dropping that jug on the space station to see if it then becomes more "disordered". On Earth, it shatters because a force is applied to it by the impact on the floor. Now try melting a chocolate rabbit to increase its "disorder" and then realize that heat has now been concentrated in the chocolate so the entropy has decreased. Now pour the chocolate into a rabbit mold and let it cool. The heat loss is energy spreading out so entropy increases... but.. we now have a nicely ordered chocolate rabbit. Here's what's going on: Consider a pack of playing cards that has been sorted into suit order. Now give it a good shuffle so that the pack is now "disordered" and then returned to a uniform ambient temperature. Has the shuffle increased the entropy of the pack? NO! It has not. In this case, the concept of "order" is merely a human convention. Now take a pen and write the numbers 1 to 52 on each card in turn. The pack is now in "order" again. It follows that the concept of "order" is so familiar in everyday experiences that its use in science is dangerously misleading. As explained in the first part of the video, entropy is a measure of the spreading out of energy concentrations.

    "What is the link between evolution and the universe?" In one word, entropy. Let's call entropy the natural tendency for high potential energy move to a lower potential energy state. Life is a means of speed up that process. Life, given enough time, is equivlent to one match starting a forest fire. How does the match come to be? In two words, abiogenesis and evolution.

And the heavens are the work of Your hands. *They will perish* , but You remain;
And they will all *grow old like a garment* Again, in Romans 8 which says: *Romans 8:20-22* “For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. *For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now* .“ Those who have an ear, let them hear 🙏🏾

  • @RoySATX

    @RoySATX

    Жыл бұрын

    The so-called fusion "breakthrough" of Dec 5, 2022 was most certainly not the "first fusion breakthrough", that is just plain nonsense not even the media claimed. And though the reaction had released more energy than the laser energy the reaction itself consumed, the entire device required nearly a hundred times that amount of energy to create that laser beam in the first place resulting in a 99% LOSS of actual energy overall. Yes, it took 99% more energy to create the fusion reaction than was produced. The statements from the scientists at the facility were misleading. possibly intentionally, and the media was as usual happy to continue spreading the misinformation. Over the past few years there has been an explosion of scientists willing to mislead, if not outright lie to, the public, and this has just encouraged the media's malfeasance. Some people have even been arrogant enough to claim they "speak for science"; Science speaks for itself, it does not need a self-indulgent scientist to speak for it.

    Dear von Recht, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today in regards to the threat of boycotting products being sold on KZread. As a content creator and user of the platform, I understand the importance of standing up for one's beliefs and making a difference in the world. However, boycotting products can often have unintended consequences, particularly for small businesses and independent creators who rely on the platform to reach their target audience and sell their products. I implore you to consider the impact that a boycott could have on these individuals and their livelihoods. By choosing to support smaller businesses and creators, you can help to make a positive difference in their lives and help them to continue to bring their products to market. Additionally, it's important to remember that KZread is a vast platform with a diverse range of content and creators. While there may be some products or creators that do not align with your personal beliefs, there are countless others who do and who would greatly benefit from your support. I understand that boycotting products can be a powerful way to make a statement, but I would encourage you to explore alternative ways to make your voice heard, such as writing letters, signing petitions, or making donations to organizations working towards causes that you support. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. I truly believe that we can make a positive impact on the world by working together and supporting one another, rather than boycotting and causing harm to innocent individuals. Best regards, OpenAI/ChatGPT

    We've certainly made rapid modifications to the planet that otherwise would not have occured, but so too did an asteroid striking the Yucatan long ago. We owe our existence to that asteroid, who knows what new species will have us to thank for their rise to dominance in the future.

    "What Is The Link Between Human Evolution And The Universe?" Here is the link: The Universe itself is a living growing creature and we are part of that creature, like human cells that are part of a larger living body...

    chaos is cycled back through black holes or suns emerging as highly ordered radiation. Creation was a very special highly ordered state. Quantum fluctuations occurred as information was converted into energy to matter. Imagine the butterfly effect at the subatomic scale blown up to interstellar scale. ...and there ya go.

    Yes this is called wisdom of God . Here is the picture of the universe and by disorder it and making again in order with other way they it looks like human body these are all possible by mathematical way only and there is no other way. In the Bible (Isaiah 6 chap) this can be possible to find the dark energy and matter and this is called the link between universe is human body thanks.

    I note that when science learns and teaches us how things truly are, theism tries to jump on board in order to maintain viability. Even adopting their terms. Evolution in action.

    The concept “nothing” cannot have the ability to act, otherwise it would be a thing that exists. If the universe came from “nothing” then this nothing would have had to have acted in order to have become the universe. Therefore, the universe could not have come from nothing on its own. Since the universe obviously exists, then “something” which had the ability to act, must have always existed. If time had ever in the past, proceeded at an infinite rate, we would not be here today because all events would have already occurred in a single instant. Therefore, time had to have always proceeded at a finite rate and any mathematician can prove that since time has always progressed at a finite rate, it could never have reached an infinite time interval. Therefore, time could not have started a finite time ago and therefore had a beginning. And you cannot just say, all we need to do is to wait an infinite amount of time and then we would reach an infinite amount of time, because then you are assuming that you can wait an infinite amount of time, but this is what you were trying to prove and so that is not a proof at all. Since this “something” always existed, it had to have existed before time started. Since space and time are one entity as Einstein pointed out, and since all material things must exist in space and time, then this “something” had to have existed outside of space and time and is not made up of material things. And this “something” could not be just chaos which has no order, because as we have already proved, something cannot come from nothing on its own, and therefore order cannot come from pure disorder. Hence, this “something” had to have had the ability to cause order and since we call ourselves beings, then we should at least call this “something” the greatest Being of all, who we call God.
