Not everyone has a jig saw either! You can get a cheap corded circular saw from thousands of yard and garage sales or find one online. A jig saw is a specialized saw, whereas a circular saw is a saw for everything.

Yes there are circular saws, however this could be used for straight cut on cabinetry work, or some wood board that is a bit flimsy or needing carefull detail. I'm sure it has its place....Also, perhaps you dont have a circular saw, only jig saw. Its a useful idea to cross cut straight....

Amazing that you literally missed the entire point of a KZread short. End of day jigsaws are to cut curves, not straight lines. Buy a cheap circular saw from harbor freight for $30 and use the right tool for the right job.

И при том что надо сделать небольшой прямолинейный рез, на длинном участке пилка разобьёт отверстие и будет вновь пилить как попало😂

The problem when cutting against a fence isn't usually straight front to back, it's keeping the blade from flexing side to side in the work (top to bottom in the cut). A good start, but will need something the blade can't chew up over time to keep it from flexing.

Yes, I was thinking Purple Heart, and have it only guide the shank of the blade, leaving the teeth free to only do their bidding on only the board that’ll be cut off at 69”, instead of the required 96”… cuz, well… phuk… 😬😣😵‍💫😢

LOL. The real reason your cut isn’t straight is because you pushed the saw too fast. Slow down, hold tight, don’t force the blade, and your cut will be straight.

пилки будут убиваться быстро, они трутся и перегреваются, лобзик не предназначен для такого пила.

Вай какой лайфхак. Надо замутить. Для распила ламината, дверных коробок и всякой мелочевки покупал торцовку макитовскую выкатную. Теперь придется ее выкинуть и сделать залипуху с лобзиком. Работать конечно получится медленней, но пусть заказчики смотрят на меня и думают, какой я вумный😂

A jigsaw and a piece if plywood is far cheaper (and more portable) than a circular saw and a table saw. This is a thrifty solution to not have to shell out $200 to $500 for a new tool and does the job you need it for.

My Dudes, there may be tight areas that a circular saw may not be able to access. This is a hot tip/jig, that could also be applied to a “sawzall”!

The main reason it is not cutting the wood is that the saw blade is not touching the wood. There's a hole for it, it goes through the hole. And the wood on the jig saw slides against the straight wood plank on the side. The blade is not touching it, and even if it does touch it, only the side of it does so - and it is flat there.

Думаю небольшой люфт рассчитан не просто так. Всё таки лобзик скорее универсальный и вспомогательный инструмент, точный результат добивается другими инструментами, для этого созданные.

1. a jigsaw isn't for cutting straight edges, a chop saw or dimention saw is. 2. The addition of the block to the saw makes for an even more unstable blade 3. Jigsaw cuts are only as good as the blade, wandering blades are blunt.

I can totally see this being useful for building ramps. You will need a jigsaw to cut your plywood and craft the transition of a halfpipe, but might not want to bring along a circular saw just for cutting 2x4s to rib it up.

Делал подошву из 10 фанеры, а в последнем отпиле уже 20. Неравномерности заточки пилки приведут к кривому резу в любом случае. Пилка будет гореть от трения о фанеру.

Ok ill try this. This will solve my problem with my jigsaw cutting hobby a had it recently. I wonder how youtube smell my sweat but it recomend right video.

Guesses where the stop block goes, on the first pass. Puts a red line for the second pass. If the red line was there for the first pass, would it be out of square? Or as much out of square. Even though I'm being critical, it's still a great idea.

This is why they invented the circular saw!

being as i dont own a table saw, and do most of my cuts for diy projects with a circular or miter.... i break out the jig saw from time to time for thinner strips of wood when i feel using the circular would be unsafe.... and one of the problems i have with longer cuts and a jig saw is that the blade walks over the lenght of the cut and starts cutting an an angle and doesnt cut at a perfect 90...... this is fucking ingenious for situations like that... will have to try it sometime when im feeling crafty
