When using the CLAMP BASE, aligning the thickness of the BLADE GUIDE base plate (9mm) with the thickness of the CLAMP BASE (30mm) will further improve cutting accuracy.
Previously, I made the BLADE GUIDE with plywood, but it burnt and wore out. This time, by making it with hard wood and applying oil, the burning and wear were eliminated.
I use this Makita jigsaw with the soft no-load feature disabled. Also, the screw that fixes the tilt of the base plate is weak and can break if too much force is applied.
The hold-down clamp I used this time can slip if not securely fastened. If you can find one with a rubberized tip, I recommend using that instead.

I am unsure that that slender strip of steel will do much at all to prevent the blade from going off track following the sharp side and away from a duller side. Maybe a much heavier rig might.

I hate my jigsaw, and the feeling is mutual. No matter what I do, it cuts crooked at some point when cutting thicker than 1/4" stock. Never had a problem with any circular saw to cut dimensional lumber. That and my trusty speed square, I can cut perfect all day long. Not so with the finicky jigsaw.
It's great video as ever!!! that Makita blade guide (in the jigsaw itself) is crap!!!
NEVER NEVER NEVER have your hand in front of the blade.
Комментарий к лайку Что на самом деле обидно - основа работы лобзика - это возвратно-поступательные движения. Где, скажите на милость, насадка со стамеской??? Понравилось коромысло с подшипником. Лобзиковый стол делал - очень не понравилось, деталь постоянно норовит оторвать от поверхности. С уважением, Дмитрий Веретенников.
