Angle Grinder
Brand: Makita
Model: GA4033
Sand Belt (Circumference: 533mm, Width: 30mm)
Brand: Utoolmart
Bearing (Outer diameter: 35mm, Inner diameter: 10mm, Width: 11mm)
Brand: NTN
Model: 6300LLB
Speed Controller
Brand: サンウェイ
Model: SC-01
The belt of the belt sander remains in a position with a long circumference.
It is essential to securely attach the base plate to the grinder body. (I shaved off a small protrusion.)
For safety, the RPM has been reduced to about 5000 for the test run.

Since grinders rotate at high speeds, if you're concerned about the safety aspects such as material scattering, consider using a variable speed grinder or a speed controller (10:32). Details of the tools used are listed in the description. Thank you for watching.

As a metal worker and weldor, having made all my own fixtures, jig's and many tools my whole working life, this is a fantastic video with really well done ideas. I would suggest a variable speed grinder for anyone building these. This old dog appreciates seeing these tricks.

you're a bad metal worker for recommending the variable speed ones. unless you wanna spend ALOT i have had a few variable speed ones. and they would have all grinded to a complete halt with half of the operations the guy is showing in the video. his grinder actually powers through. that's what you're after.

@@darkracer1252 Variable speed grinders vary in price. And what is considered a lot to one person could be spare change to another. And slowing down the rpm's can be well worth the price depending on what you are grinding, even metal. Your experience is one thing, but it's not a universal fact. Varying rpm's can be done in more than one way and that affects performance. Not to mention how you use the tool. Stuff a work piece into any tool like a gorilla, beyond it's design parameters, and you'll get shit results. Steel can tolerate higher rpm grinder speeds, generally. But wood is different. Tool speed and abrasive have to be considered more with wood as it varies more. Density, grain, composition, combustion point, etc. Can tools be pushed and/or pulled outside of their design and used successfully? Sure. But you have to have the experience. Many hobbyists just don't have that tool time.

Watching you makes me nostalgic. My grandfather was a garden tool fabricator in Vietnam before the fall of Saigon. And growing up when I would visit him in the summer in Calgary Canada I would see him modify so many things in my presses and molds for sausages and cakes and meat patties. Somehow watching you work brings back sweet memories of my maternal grandfather thank you so much for your work and sharing it with the rest of us Love and peace from New Jersey.

dude, I know what you mean. my uncle was very handy and creative. taught me alot about tools and making things. I learned a lot from him. 👍😎👍
I love it when the only non-hand tool you use is a drill press, and then you make your jigs so precisely.
I am a technology enthusiast. When I watched this video, I saw that you have skillful hands and extremely high creativity. Thank you.

Genious. So much we can work with the grinder. Thank you for the brilliant ideas.
I got into woodturning several years ago and discovered I needed this and that and that making my own tools and jigs was as much fun as using them for the needed task .
I thought this was going to be another video full of insanely dangerous hacks, but these are really interesting and inspiring (and not immediately deadly). I'll be watching for more videos like this!
You have one of the most imaginative minds on any of the handyman KZread channels. I am amazed by just how insightful you are. Cheers from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
This makes it worth spending more money on a better performing tool, so many applications. Thank You.
