    If you feel like having too many spare fingers, eyes and other body parts, just go ahead and do what you have just seen. Otherwise, do NOT use a cutting disc for grinding and wear gloves while your hands come close to a rotating power tool.

    I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzread.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

    Do that if your safety doesn’t mean anything to you. But if you care about your safety you will choose a different way to cut wood. There are many ways to do that, using an angle grinder with a certified cutting disc is one of most dangerous, doing it with something you did with your hands is a really Darwin Award!

Este "invento" no creo que haya sido probado que resista, sin pensar en el riesgo de perder un ojo si se rompe. Un pedazo de ese material disparado a esa velocidad, es un daño seguro. Mejor comprar uno de fabrica es mucho mas seguro.

Or the genius who lifts his self-built 600kg welding table with a jack and then it almost kills him. In many videos there should be an insert saying "Do not copy, danger to life". • @RandallHirt

    @RandallHirt

    Ай бұрын

    The way he did it, accomplished 2 details: 1.) That the outer disc is more certainly equal distant to the center of the circle, thereby will be more reliable & smooth cutting. 2.) By marking the second circle the way he did, also shortens the length of the blade, taking out a lot of flimsiness, play, or any possible wobble.

    Wood cutting disks are usually for circular saw usage, table saws or cutting off saws, but definitely not for angle grinders. Usually, angle grinder disks rotate at a linear speed of 80 m/s, while tools that are designed for cutting wood rotate slower, and there's definitely a reason to this. There so many other reasons why not to do a homemade blade, such as accuracy

    That’s a cute story and all but this would be like not having a back scratcher so improvising by using a cottonmouth. Using anything but abrasives on an angle grinder is not something you should do. It aint “if it fks you up” it’s “when it fks you up.” Throw wood in the mix and it wont take long. He also isn’t very experienced with a grinder, you either, so i give it 5-10 min. I know this to be a fact… because if either of you had many miles on one you would no EXACTLY why this is a bad idea regardless of the situation.

    I think if i did this, i would use a more precise measure for everything. A lathe to get it perfect, a mill to perfectly grind in the teeth at the perfect angles, and specific steel quality to fashion the blade… something that would cut or properly resist the rotations and stresses of cutting and the temperatures it generates. What you saw here… probably works, in the same way my dad built a shed. It leaned, it blew over every winter, and the walls didnt match. It kept things dry sometimes, but failed often in spectacular ways. With a blade like this, spinning at 18-30k rpm, id just rather not and pay $10 for a pack of 3 from HD

    This is not only incredibly dangerous, but like every other DIY "hack" video on the internet; it assumes you have the material simply lying around (most people that don't work in the trades don't have sheets of sheet metal lying around) and really, by the time you get done with this, you could've gone to any local hardware store and spent $15 on an ACTUAL cutting disc, not some hacked together thing that may or may not spray you with metal slivers.

    Despite the fact that the item will be probably cheaper if you buy it from the hardware store, the are many reasons why you shouldn't make an angle grinder disk spinning 11k rpm from a zinked sheet metal. And first and most important of all is inevitable and uncontroable(explosive) disassembly throwing sharp metal pieces with a speed not lower than 80m/s(actual angle speed of the spinnig 125mm angle grinder disk). Or let's just say it is a VERY BAD IDEA!!
