@@budmeister I understand why you thought it was late 2000's now. The upload date of this video to youtube is 2008 but the video was created and originally published (to jibjab, presumably) in 2004 or early 2005, before KZread had even been created.

I watched this when I was a teenager as a flash animation when it was still relevant. It required a countertop appliance, my friend's AOL password, my parent's loosing the ability to use the phone, downloading & installing flash and probably 15-30 minutes of waiting for it to download. Now a multi-million dollar algorithm recommended it to me on a piece of glass I pulled out of my pocket.

If you mean in terms of leftism Globally, you’re right, American leftist politicians (democrats) often have policies that would be considered center/light right in most other western countries like Canada, Belgium or Poland. But if you mean in terms of American politics, democrats are leaning more to the left than republicans and because those 2 parties are practically the baseline for the American left/right line, they technically count as “left wing”, even if in international terms they are not really leftist or left wing. I imagine you mean the former, but I just wanted to make sure.

As a Dutch person, I have no idea what it must have been like to live in the USA during Bush's presidency, but I can imagine it was a lot nicer than living there while Trump was president. Bush doesn't seem like a fascist, unlike Trump, and I'm genuinely worried about what Project 2025 will do to all your freedoms. Here's hoping Harris will win 💙 At the same time, however, Bush's presidency was the most disastrous on a global scale, by far! So maybe that's what they're talking about when they call him a fascist?

Even if the court were to reverse the people's decision in one state, that alone wouldn't turn the election because Biden isn't ahead by just one state, he's ahead by multiple states. Trump needs multiple miracles (plus some extra ballot fraud in his favor) to have any chance to steal the election. It's over.

He was inexperienced, ill-advised, and well, stupid. Being surrounded by swamp creatures like Cheney and Bolton definitely didn't make things any better either. His 8 year presidency reshaped America for the worse and his impact continues to be felt in the decades to come.

Part of the reason he doesn't is because Dems don't hate him as much now, and if he tries to support any candidate, Trump or someone else, it will bring back all the bad memories and the hatred they had of him.

And besides Biden and Kamala aren't going to end up doing much since the Senate is still in Republican control. You may not have Florida Man or Pence but you still have Mitch McConnell and trust me if the Dems really rigged it like in the primaries, they wouldn't have kept Mitch in there.

@@patricktsai2303 I have a theory, and I could be dead wrong about it, that there are more Republicans in New York and California than those that go out and vote. They choose not to vote because they already know that their vote doesn't count. So if the Electoral College was abolished, I believe Republicans could have a chance if my theory is correct.

POV: It’s 2023, Bush hasn’t been president since 2008. We’ve gone through 3 presidents since then. And still this ancient relic pops up in my recommended.
