JHMCS Training Flight in F/A-18 Super Hornet - Ride Along - Unedited Raw Footage
The Joint Helmet Mounting Cueing System (JHMCS) projects symbology and targeting information on the aircrew's visor to improve combat efficiency and situational awareness. In this video we run through a series of drills to improve our proficiency with utilizing the JHMCs while simultaneously maneuvering the aircraft.

Alex... Yet another great "raw footage" video... Love them best. We all see your flying skill, attention to detail. Endless crosschecks and scans. Bet your back seater loves being paired up with you. Would love to hear your intercom chatter... "All right, show me some of that pilot shit". Ha. Keep your videos coming for all your fans. Fly safe brother! Randy "C-17A"
" Highway to the flying'zone ".... thanks !!!!!!
AMERICA’S Finest! Ooh-rah!
We get to watch the dog fighting from our job sights south of NAS Lemoore all the time. It fantastic
So cool!!!!
I love how the sound changes when you're pulling g's, almost as if the GoPro is doing anti-g exercises too ;).

Basically yes! The GoPro's microphone, as it's a vibing item, during G maneuvers it's pulled downwards too and because of that it's less sensible to the noise😉
Great place to train
To send that High Off-Boresight Heater.
This training is called: How to turn left 101. followed by "how to turn right 101"
Alex = BOWMAN’S COMIN’ Maverick = LET’S GO ! SHOW ME WHAT YOU’VE GOT ! Alex = ALL RIGHT MAV ! GREAT BALLS OF FIRE !
Did you ever fly Star Wars Canyon and video it? Just curious.
Again, bro, you guys are freeeeaakin badass!
Top Gun
So did you have a WSO with you or another pilot talking you through the system and the drills?
Is the JHMCS system comfortable to use? I've heard some say it's heavy and tough on the neck but that seems strange for something designed to handle high G loads.

heavy or not it is just needed, you can target anything in your view point, control and get information as same time, like from EWR, or duplicate the flir designation , HUD symbology follow your view point and you can again replicate information of radar, on both of the 3 MIDS scren in the the FA18, FA 18 are not really high G jet, you have a FCS limitation at around 9 G or 8 i dont remember if don't use the paddle switch for desactivate it. , you can not go over this, but is allready pretty impressive . F16 or F22, can go a bit higher anyway. Great video again Alex

@@lb8413 indeed, but in what world is 8 or 9 gs not high. Most pilots can't sustain anything over 9 for more than a couple seconds

@@ascherlafayette8572 super hornet G limit I believe is somewhere around 7.5, and that's when it's a completely clean aircraft. with weapons loaded the G limit for the aircraft matches accordingly to prevent severe structural wear

alex you should tell me first 🤷🏻♀️
STRKFITRON-41 Black Aces 👍👍👍
It is not the eye piece anymore? It is projecting on the actual visor now?
Is the JHMCS mandatory or by choice. With the dark visor do you ware it at night?
I ask me if you have fly the F/A-18 C/D before how they compare with super hornet?
I’ve always wondered…Are the visors polarized?!? 😎🇺🇸👊🏻
@bollewillem1

No, you can’t see the glass cockpit with polarized glasses or visor. The screens will appear as black screens.

Wow. You increased by 20K follower or more in a couple of weeks. I bet all of these edits have to be run by the DOD... FYI. We all have the bug to fly - us old folks, well we missed our calling for this though our kids are interested. Timely posting again. Thx...
How about stalls, slow flight, turns around the point, lazy eights and spins?😂
Hi , Alex Bowman ❤️💃🏼🍓😘❤️😁 cute boy 💓🦋💓🦋💓
Are you allowed to say anything negative about the F35? It seems like most pilots say they like the plane but is that them just being politically correct? Or worried about a court marshall? Lol
@Nghilifa

I think the pilots would be the first to let people know, given that they're the ones who are supposed to be flying it, lol 🤣 (if it really sucked). All aircraft have their strengths & weaknesses, The F-35 Lightning II is no exception.

@@Nghilifa I just read an article that said Navy has ordered 9 F-35C for 2023 and 15 per year beyond that. Thank God for the Navy. They don't want that pos.
Boring.
