Welcome aboard an EA-18G Growler catapult shot off the TR (CVN-71) somewhere near Wake Island in the beautiful Pacific Ocean in 2017. This was a MAX power Case I launch off catapult 3 on a day training sortie. Look at the color of the water. Absolutely amazing. Fly Navy!

Thank you for sharing your awesome life with the world! Thank you for your service! Go Navy!
I just watched you idle behind a blast deflector for four minutes, then in front of it for three. Still not disappointed. It's a beautiful machine and while I've worked around heavy vehicles before, that deck crew's confidence and professionalism around all of that is just amazing.

Welcome aboard.
I really love how you can see the flight deck ops. It’s an amazing choreography moving the aircraft around.
New subscriber here… Dad was Navy test pilot/ fighter… his first night recovery was still one he remembered in vivid detail even at the height of his Alzheimer’s! Fly safe and thank you for your service God bless!

Still remember mine as well…dark and full of horrors. Thanks for watching.
Sure hope you have a LOT of these vids! They really break up my day working from home and remind me of more exciting times.
I still find it amazing that the Growler does with 2 crew what the EA6B did with 4! The FA18 was just coming into service when I got out in 81! Semper fi from an old Marine avionics tech🤘
Another great video gives us a eye birds eye view of the goings on during flight ops. Thanks again!

Awesome!! Thanks for your service and sharing these videos!!
Great video of the carrier deck activities. Waiting for the cat launch must be nerve wracking with everyone cueued to go and all that flammable fuel around you. I thank you for your Service to our Country Pilot Pail. Stay safe!

Fly Navy!
Alot of people don't realize how much you have accomplished to be sitting in a machine and risking your life every time you take those birds in the sky and put your ass on the ground. And you do it to protect my life here at home knowing the risk you face and the separation from your family that you must feel. I want to truly thank you and I am grateful that you share your experience with me and the rest of the world. You Sir, and all those serving are truly heroes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Besides the pilot there are hundreds of people behind the scenes who work 12 hour days and night to get birds in the air daily. Without maintenance the planes would be tied to the deck.

@@igokarts4510 oh yeah I loved that Navy chow especially the sliders. After being deployed a few months I forgot what real food tasted like.
Love it! FWIW: Really like the part from about 2:15-5:50 where you're stuck waiting for the jet in front of you to move and you're left with nothing to do in the cockpit but fijit for a few minutes; just like being stuck on a freeway in Los Angeles! ☺

I could watch these videos forever and imagine myself sitting in the pilots seat. Great content.
Great video. Thanks. That is one awesome busy environment. Awesome engineering, space etc.
Even with those deflectors up, his jet is still being rocked by the sheer power of the jet being launched. Pretty amazing

Try being the troubleshooter (me) next to the rear of the jet next to the jet blast zone, you want to feel like your in hurricane winds, try standing in that zone 18 hours a day 7 days a week, oh yeah you get tired real quick fighting the jet blast + the wind across the bow.
You and your fellow crewmembers are hero's!🇱🇷
Listen to those engines … they are ready to go!!! Great video clips from the cockpit! Amazing!
I can watch all day 😊 you guys are amazing! I wish i can see my own eyes when they are taking off ✊✊✊
That's so awesome, thanks Commander for sharing.
Loved that take off...Veterans Honor!
Love his callsign, super authentic!! Stay Safe,Pail!
I love watching you swivel head all around. So many things to cause a Hornet Bite. The turbulence behind the blast shield surprised me. Very cool watching the different perspectives
Really amazing video !!! That was insane !
I love you for sharing these. ❤️
Thanks for posting. Great videos!
Beautiful day to fly ! Hope the recovery weather was equally good.
Thank you for your service. 👍
I can't add anything more than what's already been said. Please keep these coming! And thank you for everything you do. GBA!
I love these videos, when music is added they become my favorite motivational pumpup mix, I workout harder and being a pilot you have to be in good health and shape so 💪 😉 Keep that muscle coming Airman!God Bless and Protect these men who protect our country,Amen! They are our Guardian Angels 😇 ❤️
Awesome short little videos man for those of us that fly corporate and never got the chance to fly in the military. 🤙 Thanks for your service! 🇺🇸👏 P.S. One small suggestion tho, it’d be cool if the videos were a couple seconds longer so when the links pop up to watch other videos they don’t block parts of the cockpit action during the coolest part of the video.
My dream job! absolutely brilliant, fly safely 👍
Awesome and mant thanks for the original audio
Thank you for your service
That looks absolutely awesome 👍
Keep them coming!! Love them!!!
You all ate just the best! Our Nation thanks you!
The suspense. Nice blast off!
Hi Pail. Your yellow symbol is almost similar to the Charger football logo. Cool.😊
Cat ride is awesome, thanks for sharing 🤗🤗
Loving these videos
Cool vid, keep 'em comin'!
Damn these vids are fun. But too short. I'd honestly kick back and watch a whole flight takeoff to landing looking over your shoulder. Thanks for all you and your crew do for us.

This is so cool!!! I love this video so much and can't wait for more of theses videos to come out your a big pice of inspiration for me and its helping me in a lot of ways. Also you should do a video on your every day life.
There is not one person in that video who is clueless. Not one. God bless America. And all the ships at sea.
Start samolotu ciekawy 😮 Ta kamerka daje efekt jakby człowiek siedział za pilotem 😁
Outstanding! Naval Air!
Great job.

Obrigado por mostrar como é pilotar um caça no porta aviões!. Abraços.
Love the vids Pail, thank you! Always nice to know the Big Blue Machine is out there operating forward. This is a question that may have been asked/answered already; do the Q's not use the augmented helmet?

Hi from Coupeville!
Dream always wanna sit on one of these it's a wish!!😃
Military power, fire the catapult… 4 seconds later you’re flying. Awesome!
I can only imagine the adrenaline rush of my own but yours must be light years above. I was trying to explain the other day to a jet guy. I explained Pitts landings are like driving a station wagon backwards at 60 mph from the front seat.
Very cool 😎

gosh yes, I often wonder that myself. I really wanted to fly for the air force in my country from an early age, but alas, it didn't happen. Unfortunately at the time when it mattered, focusing at school and so-on, I wasn't committed enough and became a bit of a delinquent, for some annoying reason!
Everything, everybody on the vessal in the position as required.
I miss the days of being ResDes for US Carriers, lost count of how many times we steamed Stdb aft quater. During the 80s and 90’s. did it heaps. HMAS Swan and Torrens.
Yeah!!! Who!!!! Let's go 😎☝️
