JET CAR RISK IT ALL AT HAULOVER INLET !! BOAT ZONE

Ойын-сауық

Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

Seeing that Mako captain not have a simple rubber holder for the antenna so that it doesn't bounce around hurts my brain. The first thing my dad and I did on his 21 foot deep V hull Trophy with a single mercury 150 was go through and try to impact proof the instruments/antennae. The impacts those boats take are kinda nuts if you mess up going over a wave.

I also can't get over the amount of wealth down in Miami. It's just dripping with money considering how expensive many of these yachts are. I wonder how often the owners actually take their vessels out. Or charter them and try and make some money back on such an expense. Just the cost of fuel alone must be mind boggling.

@@BoatZone In the EU it's a mishmash, generally you have an obligation to carry but not to wear, except for underage children, but there are places like Croatia where if your boat can exceed 20 knots (23 mph) you have to wear one, but going fast in an infamous inlet to opean sea, common sense should be the law that makes you wear it.

Luckily it didn't happen. But if that guy hanging off the bow caught a good size wave and he got slapped down. He'd surely have some injuries or even fall into the water and go under the boat. So yeah i think it should be a fine just for reckless boating etiquette. I know we'd get one up where i live.

I’m absolutely flabbergasted at the blatant disregard for boat safety and etiquette shown here! That would not be tolerated up here in Alaskan waters(ps) you’d freeze your rear end for one thing🥶 Anyway because of our cold/dangerous waterways strict rules apply (ie) Life Jackets! It’s too bad that your warm weather rear around is taken for granted when it comes to safety (especially of children)

As a retired USCG Warrant Officer and former Boarding Officer, sitting on the bow with legs hanging over the side is referred to as “Bow Riding” not only is is stupid and dangerous it is a fineable infraction. The operator can be fined, depending on their attitude their voyage can also be “Terminated” requiring returning to the dock. It can carry a hefty fine as well.

I don't know but entering or leaving the inlet with your legs over the bow is a great way to have them both broken if the bow drops and gets slammed with a wave while the boat's in motion.
