I have head and watched this amazing video 3 times. It brings me tears. Such a great artist Such an interpreter. You feel the emotions while you glory in the sound and the musicianship. BRAVA How blessed we have been to have experienced the art of this great singer.
RIP Maestra. Thank you for your brilliant and healing artistry.
A National and International treasure we can only be thankful for having known her. Her talent, beauty and personality she was "A woman for all seasons" and will be remembered as such. Who she is and what she did she did not do it just the young boys and girls in Augusta Ga but she elevated each one of us by her personality and her voice, by het talent and her genius.
She was a great talent. This is the most beautiful rendition of this song. I’ve admired her for years.
Not only a great voice but a great person! Long live her voice after she's gone!
With such irreplaceable and beyond words talent and beauty Ms. Jessye Norman should be immortal, but..... This is life!!!
What a gift you were and how missed! 💖😢

What a powerful and magnificent voice from a very beautiful Lady. I just listened to her sing "You'll never walk alone" (from 2002). I am sad to learn of her passing. I think she is singing in Heaven and the Angels are rejoicing. Rest in Peace Jessye Norman.
Jessye Norman is out of this world. She sings wiht soul , heart and love. There are no words. Heavenly. Beatriz Vargas
I would like to know who the 22 people are, who have no taste, who gave this thumbs down! I hope they are able to achieve a tiny portion of the greatness she has. What a voice- and what a particularly moving and enchanting arrangement of one of my favorites!
She was my crutch to walk me thru the swamp when in deepest dispair. Her voice, her strength helped me to go on and overcome. She was an embodiment of divine for me. RIP dear Jessye, you were from another world.
Though we've lost her, God for electronic reproduction, so we'll never lose this incredible voice and wonderful person.
When she opens her mouth, the angels are singing.

With Jessie you'll never walk alone. What a persona and voice!
What an incredible voice. I had the privilege of seeing her Sieglinde at the Met about 30 years ago. It was wonderful, but it is her Four Last Songs that I play over and over.

I never compare spectacular talent, but you might like to check out Claramae Turner for another outstanding presentation. Both women take your breath away.

Junior, oh no, the people you named are performers/singers/entertainers definitely not in the realm of Jessie Norman. Few will ever master or equal her accomplishments.

Reunited where and how? They’re ALL dead, in their graves, awaiting the second coming of Christ. If they and we are faithful and make it to heaven then perhaps we may see them again someday.
This must be the best version of this great song. Thank you Jessye

Listen to Shirley Jones’ rendition.

Memorable icon! What a voice!
Well, what could compare to this? There are no words!
She will be missed. I was a young opera singer and musical theater actor when I had the opportunity to hear one of her recitals. So versatile, her voice was angelic and powerful. She is a symbol of strength for all people. She conquered not only the glass ceiling but the racial fortress as well. She is forever an icon.
I don't have many regrets, but I do wish I could have seen her live. I feel like a fraud, but her voice has provided SO much joy, and I can't quite articulate why. One of a kind
The best version I've ever heard.
Incredible voice. Rest in Peace. 💓💓💓
Her breath control is like none other!
Wow I never knew she passed. Merci Jessye Norman. What a talent. True diva
