I like the mention of not being able to truly express oneself despite people around you claiming they’ve accepted you. It’s one of the reasons I hate the word acceptance. Makes me feel like idk, my presence is being put on stand like a court preceding.

Yes, I feel the same way. Acceptance sounds nice at first, but it only means that the person isn't actively working against them. Respect is what everyone should have. Acceptance is that you can tolerate something negative and that's not what we should be aiming for, that's the lowest bar there is

I’m looking forward to this I had no idea Jesse was so aware, not because of anything he’s done, but I don’t see it often personally a famous person or actor exhibiting this level of awareness. I like that.

The play will be very interesting. I'm glad this conversation is being had. Locker rooms are both a place of comfort and vulnerability. I like this idea.

All I can say is I will treat a person in a manner in which I see them comfortable acting while still being myself. In this light, you want to act better than me, I will do likewise.
