Some of my best memories as a kid and going on. Family vacations or roapatrips involve listening to Jerry Clower Whether it be on the cassette tape or Sirius XM. It brings so much positive nostalgia.

Cain't believe I forgot Black Draught. LOL! My dad's second older brother would always be the one to bring albums to our house - before Dad heard of the person - he'd wait til he knew Dad was home and he'd bring the album of his latest find and could not wait, like to split a gut as we got out the phonograph player, and got it plugged in. Once it was one of these Jerry Clower albums, with these two stories. Another time a couple of Justin Wilson albums, and a couple by Vaughn Meader - surely you know who I mean by that! My uncle was as excited to see his brother's and all our reaction to the stories, as he was to hear the stories again himself. Later we would see these guys on Louisiana Hayride, and Jimmy Dean, and Tennessee Ernie Ford shows. Wonderful memories of sharing these old stories with my family and friends in those days. God bless them all, Amen!

Good story telling from true stories classic Southern folklore. Jerry didn't need sound affects with his style of prose to bring forth good healthy laughter.
