The first time I heard this, it was this version, and I thought it was a song he was singing about a woman he loved. But now that I've actually heard the original songs, I accept that he's pregnant and sad.

It was a Broadway Cruise - the audiences were generally really great. Pretty much everyone aboard was either a theater nerd or married to one

Seen a lot of versions but no one can touch his. He owns it!

I remember the guy at Waitress Karaoke who told Jeremy his was the best rendition of this song. Jeremy was a little embarrassed because Shoshana was standing there. Respectfully, I agree. I like his version the best with Jordin and Shoshana being close seconds.

IIRC, Joshua Henry also covered this during his set on the first day, but I didn't record it. Both versions were great, but I'll always be partial to Sarah's original (and Jesse Mueller's version - hell, it's just a great song...)

Same though I'm biased because it's the easiest version for me to sing which means I've listened to it over and over and over

It should be illegal for one man to possess this much talent.

I ALWAYS get goosebumps when I listen to him sing. The only other person that can do that to me is my magnificent nine year old granddaughter. She took can literally sing anything.

Just casually eating a grilled cheese sandwhich while SOBBING! I freaking love this! Everything this man does just give me goosebumps!

My daughter’s favorite. She loved him in Newsies and Supergirl, but her favorite was his role as Light in the English version of Death Note the musical (Japanese musical - never made it to Broadway). It does have some fantastic music. They did a concept album, which you can find online.

A total and complete master of his craft. Hands down one of the best male vocalists around. I can listen to Jeremy sing anything. He’s brilliant.

He told us a story about someone we don't even know but through his voice, his conviction to the song, we can imagine the whole emotion of the story of that particular person. I love this version. Now, someone bit Makki Lucino's version of She used to be mine. You guys can listen to her version, too. One of the best singers who covers this song.

Yay. It's back again. I think he did his arm gestures with opposite hands from his original because, like me, he probably watched it as well a million times and has the mirrored mindset. I was hoping he'd lift his arms up for "I'd give it alllllll (arms go up) up for a chance to start..." He's the GOAT I tell ya.

He makes us believe he is pregnant. What a man.

I was (hence all the videos! ;)). All of the headliners had scheduled Meet and Greet times, and I saw a few of them in the halls, posing with passengers for selfies. I saw the musicians, music directors, and (incredibly talented) "background" singers around the ship much more often, and they were all super friendly and happy to chat. Most of the headliners also stopped by the Broadway Singalong in the piano bar on the last night, and seemed to be hanging out and chatting with people. Alan Cumming got up and sang, and Randy Rainbow was hanging out near the bar for at least an hour. That whole event had a real "cast party after the last show" feel, which was amazing.

@@peterlee7496 he looks too young! I saw Waitress twice so far in different Broadway traveling company shows, but both actors playing the Dr in those were not as memorable as I think this Jeremy is (vocally)!

@@courterikasmom we've been lucky enough to see him four times now! We saw him on Broadway in Newsies, at A.R.T. in Finding Neverland, off-Broadway in Little Shop of Horrors, and then on the cruise. He's fantastic! Our son also saw him in Waitress on Broadway.

Dang. Harry Styllz is much better than I thought. Excellent performance.
