I love that her immediate concern isn't that she may end up permanently disfigured or unable to eat, but that she'll have to walk like a douche. Which, to be fair, is a completely valid concern.

@@mh20162 or maybe they are doing a fun theoretical? Something along the lines of "if I assume the story within the song depicts a real event, the idea of a person making a song about their arms being locked in place and thinking they are going to die instead of going to see their GP would be very assuming." You know, the proportion of the amount of neural-network generated content doesn't make the thought "lol women make song bout arm stuck instead of see doctor heeheehoohoo" any less funny?

Am I the only one who imagined she went to the doctor already, and they didn’t know what to do? I don’t know what other people’s’ life experience is like, but going to the doctor and having your problems remaining unsolved is, like, super-normal. That was my first take on what the song was about.

Jenny Stardust has all but faded into obscurity in the U.S., but her immense cultural impact in Japan cannot be overstated. For example, fans of Japanese Anime, particularly the ever-popular "Naruto", will no doubt recognize Jenny's influence. Though it is colloquially known as "Naruto Running", the arms-back style is CLASSIC Stardust. What a legend!

1 year ago I woke up one day with incredible pain in my neck, shoulders and arms. A few of my fingers were numb and it felt like I was being electrocuted inside my body when I moved my arms. On top of all that, my arms were super weak from nerve inflammation. Turns out I had ruptured multiple discs in my neck as well as carpal tunnel in both wrists. I finally got corrective surgery for it 2 weeks ago and I'm slowly on the mend. Words cannot express how cathartic is it to hear this song. The lyrics are basically all I was thinking for the past year.

Jenny Stardust, a distinctive voice in the 1940s swing era, made waves with her unconventional hit "My Arms Are Just Fuckin’ Stuck Like This." Known for her sultry voice and daring stage presence, Stardust's song was a standout, blending the era's big band energy with lyrics that spoke to personal and societal constraints. In a time when the music scene was dominated by more traditional themes, her audacious expression and unique blend of humor and honesty challenged the status quo, making her an icon for those who felt restricted by the societal norms of the day.

Despite her disability, she was a fierce performer and used her unique condition to create stunning dance moves and captivating stage presence. She was known for her powerful voice and her ability to connect with audiences, often sharing her personal struggles with her disability in her music. Despite facing challenges and discrimination in the music industry, Jenny never let it hold her back and continued to inspire others with her determination and talent. She became a symbol of strength and resilience, showing that anything is possible with passion and perseverance.

Jenny Stardust is known for being Jean Shrimpton’s sister and having also married the late rockstar, Ziggy Stardust in the 1970s. Her fame peaked in the mid 1960s when she decided to pursue a music career as well as her continuing her successful modelling career that began in the early 60s alongside her sister’s already globally successful modelling career. When her first record, My Arms Are Just Fuckin Stuck Like This was released in 1966 she became a hit sensation in the US as she was living there at the time and this prompted her to continue to live and work in the United States for the rest of her career and life. Today her hit song and other records that she released continue to be recognised and enjoyed by both Americans and people around the globe and create a significant sense of nostalgia for those who lived throughout the days of her success. Nowadays fans still grieve the loss of Jenny since she passed away in 2019 due to the devastating impacts of her long term battle with Myarmsstuck Syndrome. She will always be known for the impact she made in the 1960s and 70s and how she inspired so many with her pursuit in both music and modelling.
