Thanks for the info. Now I see why she shills the Disney SW merch so strongly and stupidly spent $6000 to visit the hotel disaster. Nothing against the documentary, just that she really likes to push Disney SW stuff in her video views from the doco. Everything else is fine.

@@Phaota She spent $6,000 because she knew she could make it back in a video. This is not her first breakout hit. She also trashed the Rise of Skywalker, so not a shill, but believe it or not some people legitimately like parts of Disney Star Wars.

@@RupertMDoc If she was being serious, then trashing "The Force Awakens" and "The Last Jedi" should have been her first takedowns. MauLer did and they were epic in length, longer than the actual movies, covering every problem inherent in them. I doubt Jenny thought she would make her money back on the video, but at least she did. She is a shill in regards to displaying and showing off Disney SW merch. If someone dislikes what a company is doing to their favorite IP, then you definitely do not show their merch, which just means she still likes their content. The SW IP is unfortunately dead, more so now thanks to Harvey Weinstein's former associate and her terrible "Acolyte" series. Disney is figuratively shaking the dead corpse of SW to see if there is any life left. All of us old fans are gone, leaving only the shills of Disney left to claim any fandom, and that is dying fast.

Hard part is finding someone or group of someones who could be trusted to steer Disney in the right direction to salvage it once it’s gone private. You’d also have to pay out Blackrock, Vanguard, and the rest shares to free it of their woke influence, which ain’t cheap.

Thing about the video: Jenny is completely fair. She takes no sides and when they do something good, she says it. She doesn't say it with bitter sarcasm, but a realistic "good job". If Disney was smart, they'd analyze her video to see everything they did wrong instead of trying to hide it from everyone. She gave them a multi-thousand dollar professional analysis of the Star Cruiser hotel for the price of a few hours of their time.

Yeah I just watched her video (spoiler for others it’s 4 hours), and 100% agree. She is never once rude or derogatory. Her take is critical and honest, but not intentionally crass like the Drinker or Nerdrotic crowd. She genuinely gives a lot of compliments for things she liked, particularly the cast members and some of the effects, but she equally genuinely expresses her disappointment with the “cruise”. Disney would be smart to pick her up as a marketing insider, but we all know they’d never listen to her because they clearly only care about gouging their customers not making them love their brand anymore.

You say that like it's not long since past warranted at this time smh. Jenny, Star Wars Theory, and others like them are too nice and accommodating. Don't get me wrong i like them (why wouldnt i? they're nice well meaning positive people) but there must be balance in all things. I guarantee nobody doesn't know at least one person who is a doormat and gets used and abused by assholes like the ppl running the show at DEIsney. Those ppl are the types that end up in abusive relationships or cults. If you're hitch-hiking and a guy looking like Jeffrey Dahmer pulls over, his vehicle smells like dead bodies and there are tools covered in a red substance strewn across his back seat you don't go "well maybe he is a butcher that specializes in finely aged meats and he just left his cutlery at home" and get in. If you do you're too nice/dumb to live and natural selection will inevitably take place. Other than the customary base level you afford to all people you are unfamiliar with you only extend further benefit of the doubt to those that have shown they deserve it. Respect is earned. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. There's a sucker born every minute...

I lived through the dark days of Star Trek in the 1970s when the show was long canceled and there was nothing in sight, but the fandom was strong. Eventually, we did get our movies, and new TV shows, but I miss those days when the only Star Trek info you could get was in places like Starlog, and gems like the Star Fleet Technical Reference Manual or Franz Joseph's blueprints, and the small number of novels. Now we are experiencing the never-ending chum bucket of lifeless, brainless, corporate "content", which is all awful, made by people with no talent who literally hate the franchise. The same goes for Star Wars. And in fact, the same goes for pretty much every IP that we real fans loved over the last half century or more.

I honestly believe that the creatives and executives at Disney aren't the best. They're hiring and promoting people for reasons other than talent. They're no longer focused on delivering the best they're focused on doing whatever the mutual fund, ETF, and pension money managers demand. What they're demanded is that in order to meet their investment criteria Disney must do things in a certain way that meets the money managers' and bankers' corporate credit scoring system. Most of which have nothing to do with delivering good products or services. The question we need to ask ourselves is "Why?" Why are these financial guys pushing these corporate credit scores?

I watched the video and found it great, and the reason it was great was because she was really invested in the experience and wanted it to be good, and her investment was contagious. By making this critique, she clearly and effectively communicated what the experience could have and should have been. As much as she criticized this disaster, and it was deserved, her criticism was entirely constructive and positive.

Corporations will never understand that it is the love and passion for something that creatives have that makes all the difference. It is a the same thing that made Mom's or Grandma's recipes taste that much better when they made it versus yourself. It is a Proven Measurable effect that can and has been shown to be fact in a number of interesting studies. Look up the study by a Japanese researcher who exposed everything from food, fungus, plant life and even water and ice crystals separately to only positive loving energy and encouragement vs the other samples to nothing but mean, harsh and ugly criticisms. At the end of each experiment the positive samples were still healthy and robust etc etc... While the negative samples were all rotten and spoiled and broken down into this blackened oozing goo.

They never should have given her a refund for that photo service thing they scammed her on. Either give everybody a refund or nobody. Giving influencers special treatment while screwing over everybody else just makes them look WORSE. Kinda glad the Nicholson held them to account on that, rather than take the special privilege and not say anything.

Hey there, most of the problem is you call yourselves "fans" so they treat you as a "fan". In Disneys mind fans are less than. I have been into Star Wars since 1977 not once have a called myself a fan. I am a customer and will always be one. When you demand your bad steak is replaced at "outback". They will because you are a customer not a fan. Remember customers have spent money.

Better content than Disney studios put out. Well researched well written well spoken well produced well acted. So absolutely nothing like the acolyte for instance.😅😅. Therefore the problem , she is too smart for Disney and as an actual star wars fan knows more about star wars than for instance Kathleen Kennedy or whatever yes people they hire so they can live in their little bubble community. Their also quite happy to criticize fans whilst being totally unable to take criticism themseves. I don't like unethical companies and Disney is one of the worst from what i can see as a thinking human being.😮
