CONGRATS to Elena and well done to Jennifer for taking this match to 3-sets and also getting back to tennis after a 2 year injury break.
Rybakina looking as classy and gorgeous as ever.
Lena in the beginning of the tournament as always sleeping beauty, slowly waking up and then crushing opponents 🎉
Rybakina did a great job, it is so peculiar to her struggle at the beginning of any tournament. I hope she can make at least semifinals.

Rybakina struggled in the 1st set but most of this was because Brady was so dangerous. Rybakina played better here than she normally does in 1st rounds.
congrats Lena. nice to see you back on court.🥰🥰🥰
Great work Elena! ❤ Now wearing Yonex sneakers! They must’ve went deeper into the coffers than Adidas! Looks great too!
I love Elena's composure ❤
Well played, Elena, the Queen of ladies' tennis. Onwards and upwards! xx
Congratulations Elena ❤️🇰🇿
I love how Rybakina is so mellow; winning a grand slam, you'd think she just found a quarter! No big deal but something to smile about.
The momentum swings in this match is like night and day! 😅 Great effort from both these extraordinary ladies. Well done Rybakina and welcome back indeed to Brady!!!
It was a great and even match. Good job Elena, it was really hard. Brady is a great tennis player and will be a challenge for anyone. Eyes on the prize and let's go for more 🥰
IDOL Elena goodluck in the next round.Nice to see you again.
This is a good match to have pushed through for Elena. She had to dig in that 2nd and mentally stay focused. Good for her. Excited to see her continue!
It’s nice to see BRADY back to playing again after being sidelined for 2 years because of injury. Remember, she is the 2021 Australian Open finalist where she lost to Naomi Osaka but it may be hard for her to quickly get back to her top form. Time will tell 😀🤞🏽

So happy to see Brady back on tour. She's moving great. Rybakina always had the mental toughness to close out difficult games. Congrats Champ!
Brady was very lucky to win the first set. Congratulations to Elena for a well-deserved win.
Great to see Brady competing with the best again. He forehand doesn’t look as deadly as it was before her hiatus, but hopefully it will return to form in time.
Stephens vs rybakina amazing match the experience of Stephens vs the fighter rybakina
High level competition. I don't see much fluctuation in Rybakina's on court demeanor, when it's like a blow out or super close, like this match. Athletes are like breaking the old 'molds' and it's not like that's easy to do. Kinda like how players take the court, holding hands with a little kid. Rybakina is good at it. Cute kid.
Rybakina so calm and cool
This is better than some GS finals.
SleepingBeauty, IceQueen, AceQueen, RybaQueen. ❤❤❤❤
Brady played a heck of a match. I'm disappointed she didn't win, but Rybakina is very tough (even when off to a slow start), so the result wasn't surprising. Brady can at least feel good about playing lights out against one of the best players on tour. I think Rybakina will be much stronger after this start.
The battle of the Aussie Open finalists
Phew! Close call. Well done Elena! Jen Brady making a big statement comeback. Happy for her.
all WTA highlights must be in Full HD quality
Good effort from Brady. Rybakina got a jumpstart in that second set and took control.
Tough match. Two top sluggers trading blows for three close sets. Jenny Brady's comeback continues. Despite the loss, she continues to demonstrate that her potent forehand is back to form and she is moving well on-court, the latter fact particularly encouraging given the critical injuries that kept her off-tour for two years. Rybakina looking good but had to stay focused to put Jenny away. Thanks for the highlights.
An outstanding and sublime comeback from Elena Rybakina. She makes a positive impact within this stage in order to regain the momentum and stepping up the gear on the court. Besides, I would like to appreciate the effort and diligence of Jennifer Brady in order to contend against such a commanding opponent in 3 sets.
this highlights video was a rollercoaster
Rybakina was so rusty and it was very obvious in the 1st set which she should have won. One thing I have noticed and which she should do more and more in matches is to fire more forehands down-the-line. Her opponents are currently waiting for her forehands to go crosscourt. That's what Jabeur did at Wimbledon to beat her and that was also the strategy of Brady in this match. She should do medium strength down-the-line forehands with plenty of margin during forehand to forehand rallies and she would have many winners off that shot in future matches.

Hopefully the Angel Face is going to win this tournament as she's the only reason I keep watching after the Feminine Beauty was beaten.
I was there wow! The closest match of the tournament. Great match both.
nice game ladies good game brady, more of that👌👏
Saved by the rain delay. I am on team Rybakina but she was in trouble and the rain delay saved her. She came back looking totally different. You could tell the frustration in Brady's face when the match was called the first night.
I love Rebakina,nice player
Brady has that walk on court like Garcia haha
Елена молодец, заставила однако поволноватся, ждём дальнейших побед🤲
Woah. This match is tight. This match must be a heavy test for Rybakina. This is also the first match I saw by Brady since her runner-up appearance in Aus Open vs Naomi Osaka.
Jennifer Brady is having a hell of comeback. She's making it difficult for a lot of players so far.
Jen should be really happy with her comeback. Beating Ostenpanko and then taking Elena to 3 on a hard court. She's gonna be DANGEROUS with the US Open crowd behind her. US ladies putting together a solid team. I think they'll be very dangerous in the Fed Cup as well. I'd but Jen and Coco in singles then Coco and Jessie in doubles.

Rybakina took her time getting going and was a little flat footed at times. She hasn’t played to her level best since late May 2023 when she won the Italian Open and has since dropped from No. 3 to 4 in the rankings. Hope she goes far in this tournament and keeps improving to set up a semifinal against Sabalenka.

@@westonmeyer3110 Rybakina can finish the year at No. 1 but with her performance since Rome there’s now a big gap between her and Swiatek & Sabalenka. She needs to do really well in Montreal, Cincinnati and US Open the next month.
@westonmeyer3110
9 ай бұрын
@@RamZar50 Technically it was her sickness at Roland Garros that cost her the most points. She could have made it to the final at Roland Garros and maybe even won it to catch up to Sabalenka, but instead she withdrew after winning the 2nd round and gained zero points from playing a major(which is devastating). Iga gained a few more points for winning Warsaw this time but Berlin was the same result for Rybakina and Sabalenka and Sabalenka lost to the same person as Rybakina a round later in Wimbledon so Sabalenka barely got more points from Wimbledon than Rybakina and Iga lost in the quarterfinals too so Wimbledon was a wash. The real points that Rybakina needs to get to claim number 1 are in Montreal, Cincinnati, the US Open(where she lost in the 1st round last year), Guadalajara(2nd round loss to Pegula), the indoor events, the Asian swing and finally the WTA finals where she has never gained any points because she has never been in the top 10 before this year.

@@westonmeyer3110 Agreed. First step is to stay healthy and do really well this next month with 3 major tournaments on outdoor hard courts.
I had a feeling this would be a favorable matchup for Jen in this tournament, but she's not quite at that mid-season form yet since she started her season sort of late. Still a great challenge from her.

That’s why Rybakina is so exciting. She has so much room for improvement and yet she still wins with only slight improvements each tournament. Once she learns to slice and move and volley better etc she won’t just be winning, she will win everything extremely easily and push Sabalenka and Iga out of the way like it is nothing.

@@MrBalajicse89 I hope we get to see a fully complete Rybakina. With her mental strength combined with her full physical potential she could literally win every tournament and have 18000 points by the end of a season. She could win so much that Graf’s best years look ordinary. Rybakina needs another battle with Sabalenka at her best to truly understand what she is lacking and how far she still needs to go(even if she somehow wins).
Brady is a hard competitior. Well done Elena❤
Tight match!
I don't believe I'll type that but Rybakina seemed more without rhythm than Brady but I just watched the 3rd set none of them played bad Brady was just like more "warmed". I cannot judge yet bcs Brady played 5 matches only but she's far from a player out of action for 2 years. I'd enjoy to see Brady on her best bcs definitely a worth-to-watch player
except for Brady being a better mover, they both play almost exactly the same. it's just a matter of who would give in first. credits to rybakina's mental cool as always. just stayed there, stayed solid until something budged.
solid effort by brady
Has rybakina been bulking up? Her arms are huge!
It's not at all clear how the match went. The key moments are not shown, just a set of interesting plays.
Unbelievable
That was so close. Jen should've closed this out in 2. She was too tired in the 3rd set due to yesterday's 3 set match with Ostapenko. Still, what an amazing comeback. Next time you'll get this servebot Jen!

They need to find outfits for ladies like brady. People who present less feminine and dont look comfortable in these dresses. I want the ladies to look good but some of these outfits don't fit the swag of the wearer. I don't want it to be to the point where companies are trying to push certain players just because they look better in outfits that were clearly cut for women like them.

There is actually some slight improvement. She hit a drop shot winner from the baseline in the middle of a rally to give herself the lead in the 4-3 return game in the 3rd set, she hit some good shots on the run that actually put her ahead in a rally that she was losing that she couldn’t do months ago. Rybakina from even just earlier this year would have lost this match badly. She hit a ton of errors in this match(mostly easy shots that she needed to make in order to win matches earlier in her career) and yet still held serve pretty comfortably in most games against a dangerous versatile opponent.

@@westonmeyer3110 she also hit some down-the-line forehand winners in this game which she should do more often as opponents are now camping on their forehand wing waiting for her likely forehand crosscourt. Once she does this shot efficiently then this will open up her forehand crosscourt.
