Just wanted to let you know that that link goes to a different design of headlight. It doesn't have the little bottom DRL at the bottom.

Just got these installed, with a relay harness, and I love the pattern and brightness. Bought my YJ brand new in 1987 and I think these are the cleanest ones I've tried. Love the videos.

I’m surprised that you don’t have more subscribers. This guy knows his Jeep’s and presents information in a way that the layman can easily understand and implement. If you are a Jeep person and need to work on the years and models he presents, do yourself a favor and subscribe. You will not regret it!

At 4:57 you flash the screen with "WIRING INSTALL" then skip how you wired them entirely. It would be nice to see how you did your DRL and how you tapped into the side markers. Also if these work with standard flasher relay or if they have the common LED flash issue if not running any other LEDs in the system

I agree. Would be nice to know how to hook up these non plug and play wires. Easy part is it plugging make to female adapter. But again, there are three external wires. I would think it's important to share. This guy obviously hooked them up for them to work.

My headlights on my YJ are horrible. After watching this I clicked the link and ordered a set. I appreciate the video. You do a great job... Update - they arrived and were really easy to install on my 94 YJ. I did, however, manage to drop one of the trim screws and it did disappear into the black hole. Took me 20 minutes to find it and get it out using various tools and finally a magnet!

I have almost the same lights, but I used Auxbeam, and no integrated turn signals. I love the projectors with LEDs, without projectors i feel like LED retrofits are too dangerous, I prefer not to blind someone and end up in a head-on collision. you don't have to worry about that with these projectors they have a great cut off.

I totally agree! I am not a fan of any LED headlights without something to control the light beam. Those "open LED headlights" are a hazard to everyone on the road. I have a set that I bought to do a comparison of the different style of LED headlights. When I make the video I am going to be completely open and honest. yeah my Jeep came with the really crappy ones, so I changed them right out to aux beams which I run in everything else. but I'll tell you one thing the old lights are good for (and I'm being serious) , I soldered on about a 8-ft set of wires with alligator clips on the end and I use each one of them as work lights they're tough as nails and bright! they work really good for that, plus they're super lightweight and don't get really hot and you can wind the wire up on it and stick it in your center console to keep with you just in case, it's a lot better than a flashlight... just clip one wire on the positive of the battery and the other wire is clipped on a ground and there you go, 8 or 10 feet will reach all the way around the Jeep

Great video's! Just finished headlight change with turn signals and love the function and look! Powered with open port in the fuse block for drl's. I know they don't pull much, but should it have an in line fuse for them?

I’m having a problem with my turn signals. I see how your stock turn signal and the little led light on your flat fender are blinking at same time. I have the stock headlight and turn signals and also the little round led light on my flat fender. My turn signals aren’t working now, so I bought the led flasher for your fuse box under the dash. Now the stock signals stay lit but only the tube fender led one blinks. How do I get it to both blink at same time,

I got the hella lenses after seeing your video yrs ago, and am very happy with the flood effect and the cutoff. How do you feel these compare to the hella with led bulbs?

I really like my Hellas! although, I have found that different LED bulbs produce different patterns. The placement of the physical LED chips on the "bulb" is whats making the pattern different in the Hellas. It reflects different on the back of the bulb therefore the lens has a "different light pattern" inside the bulbs to reshape going out. You would think it shouldn't matter, I have found otherwise. With the right bulb the Hellas will always dominate, not to mention last longer due to actually being a glass lens. Really bright Halogen bulbs do great in the Hellas, but I've always had an issue with them lasting for any good length of time. Not to mention Halogens and HID has to have the relay conversion due to the power hungry nature of those bulbs. If you are happy with your Hella's, don't change them. I'm actually got a few different model/brands of LED headlights that I'm going to do a head to head comparison. That's including the Hellas and the ones in this video. Stay with your Hella's if you are happy. It wouldn't a big surprise to see my rig with the Hella's reinstalled. Thanks for checking out the vid! Have a great day!

Maybe its just me, I like my stock headlights. They are very bright and white. I even like tad glow of the stock dash lights. Great video though. So have you figured out a parking brake setup for the 8.8?

Do you have to splice into any other wires for it to work for daytime running lights and signals

The daytime running lights just tap into a "keyed hot" in the fuse block. The turns have to tapped into the turn signals in the grill.

So I was looking at these exact lights on Amazon for my YJ. I’m not good with electrical so how did you wire it into the turn signals and for the DRL?

You failed to show how to wire the DRL and turn signal wires. As they are separate from the plug and play adapter.

I liked the headlights performance. I ended up later disconnecting the Turns & DRLs.
