    If it’s off, it won’t be much. But after spending a ton on new tires, I got mine done anyway. In my opinion, I would get one done. Check for local deals and or Groupon to save a few bucks. I ended up paying my local dealership to program the tire size and do the alignment. It wasn’t horrible and I knew it was done right. This is definitely a manageable task. If it’s your first lift, plan on a couple days or one longer day. Take your time and work smart. Not bad at all.

    Just took it wheeling over the weekend. It did really well. I have had no issues with this setup. I know the aftermarket parts are beefier in some cases, but I don’t wheel hard enough (yet) to worry about it. I don’t think the lift is big enough to require an adjustable track arm. It may be something I do down the road, but not something I feel I need to do immediately. No wobble, alignment was not an issue, truck tracks just fine so far. It’s a Jeep and still drives like one. One with no factory warranty issues to worry about. 😉

    Thanks for watching and commenting! After a few weeks of driving post install, I did go back over all the bolts and re torque them. No issues thus far with the kit. I did have my dealership do an alignment to be sure I didn’t have any premature wear on the expensive new tires. It wonders a touch, like every Jeep I’ve ever driven. It drives and rides so much better with the lift. They should have come with it from the factory. I’ve got a one year video review coming out any day. (Just need to do the editing on it)

    Not really, you need the free play to shift things around. It really not a bad job and with a second set of hands and the right tools, you’ll cruise through it. Make sure you torque to spec and then after a few hundred miles, I suggest going back and torquing the control arm bolts again.

    Great video! I just bought the Mopar lift for my 2021 JTR and I was wondering how it is doing? I have been viewing a lot of videos and yours is one of the best! A local shop recommended an adjustable front track bar, rear track bar bracket and a steering stabilizer along with the kit, Are all these things necessary if it is my DD 90% time and very light off-roading so basically a pavement princess! 😄 I'm just a little overwhelmed with the information. I have 35" tires already on it. Thank you and keep up the great content!

  • @QuickShifts

    @QuickShifts

    Thanks for the kind words and for watching and commenting! Those are all nice to have things. Do you need them, no. I have none of them still and my Jeep is fine. I drive mine about how you drive yours. In my head I go to trails all the time, in reality, not so much. It mostly goes to work and runs errands. The great thing is, you can add one thing at a time and feel the changes they make. I may upgrade my steering stabilizer next, then my track bars. But with the Mopar lift, it’s not a big enough lift to make any of it necessary. Bigger lifts impact the geometry more and in that case, it’s more necessary to adjust for it. But if you want to do it all at once, now is the time since you’ll be taking it all off to install the lift anyway. Pick what’s best for you and your situation.

If it’s your first time wrenching, you could still do it, but you’ll need to invest in the right tools to do it. At the end of the day, if you don’t already have the tools, it may be cheaper to pay a shop to do it for you.
