Jedi Swings- Hitting Drill To Increase Bat Speed and Power

Спорт

Jedi Swings are a great hitting drill to increase bat speed and power. The Jedi Drill was created because I always see young kids swinging their bat around as if it was a sword. What better way to create a hitting drill that catering to young players imaginations. The Jedi Drill is great tool, along with all my other drills, to help you learn create a more athletic and efficient swing through movement exploration. The Jedi Drill helps hitters learn how to generate momentum, bat speed, and power by increasing the hitter's load, separation between the upper and lower body, stride length, and understanding how to generate and control the momentum of the bat. In this video I show the drill performed on tee, 3/4 side toss, behind the plate toss, front toss, and overhand. The more ways, body positions, and tosses that we can utilize to hit a rising line drive the more adaptable and athletic we become as a hitter. Being an athletic hitter also gives a player confidence to hit the ball hard and reduces slumps because they aren't worried about how their swing feels. They know they can hit a rising line drive in any situation.
All these skills are easy enough a child can learn them through practice but difficult enough most adults can't perform them.
I make these drills look easy. Give them a try and let me know what you think in the comments below. Get creative and tell me some athletic variations you think would be cool to try. All these skills are easy enough a child can learn them through practice but difficult enough most adults can't perform them.
