I ran into the creators of the deflector (jazzlab.com) at the musik messe in Frankfurt recently. They were kind enough to give me one of their newest inventions to try, the saxophone deflector. And I must say after trying it I was convinced in seconds of the brilliance of this cleaver little tool and I'm using it my practice daily now.
So I highly recommend it. You can get it here: www.jazzlab.com/en/deflector/
info from the jazzlab website below:
Working on your sound, articulation, and dynamic contrast is much easier with DEFLECTOR since you hear yourself much better. Using the DEFLECTOR is similar to playing against a wall but more direct and far more effective. Also, you can practice softer (your neighbors will thank you!).
During a rehearsal or in a gig most of the time you don’t hear much of your own sound. Using the DEFLECTOR changes all that- with the DEFLECTOR your true sound come straight back to your ears, loud and clear. You hear what the listener hears, your sound.
Features
• redirects the saxophone sound back at player’s ears
• attaches to the instrument in seconds
• great for practicing at home
• very effective for playing in a band

+sophia will do! :)
And for all you doublers out there you can also play ping pong while playing your horn
I have a question for you. I love the sound of the saxophone and always have. I'm wondering if it is somthing I could learn to play? I am a mutable world champion duck and goose caller, and this is also a reed instrument. I tune calls by working with reeds, and can play what ever I hear as a sound. For it is tone presser, and sometimes back presser. There are no notes on paper to read, just imitate what you hear. I also know a little piano from my youth. I can have 3-4 hours a day to practice, or more if needed. Any help on this would be a great, for I don't want to get into something I can't do. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

oops, I hope you did not wait to hear from him in order to start. Saxophone is the easiest horn to blow. Get the alto, they are mid size and you will need less air than for tenor. Rent one from a reputable shop and see how you go. If you can breathe, you can play the sax.
Saw one on tv, the saxophonist for Madness was using one on his! Is he Mad?
Hello I have a question, is it suitable to practice Saxophone in an apartment? I want to learn playing saxophone but I am afraid that its sound make our neighbors unhappy? Do you have a recommendation?

So I checked out the site, but when I got there, there wasn't any way to purchase one? I wanted to see how much it would cost in USD.

+Edward Leal This is a fairly new product, so at the moment you need to write a mail to them to get one.
i think this will only work on a Bb...you know when the air is actually coming out of the bell
May I ask where in the world you are from? I like your accent.

+Harrison Myers I've only heard Bostonians use wicked as an adjective.
Jazzlab is not the first company to make this. The sound deflectors have been around since the 80's . The difference between the jazzlab and the older ones is that the jazzlab has a different mounting and the screen seems to be a litter thicker.
Jazz Lab is not the first company to produce a product like this, I've been using the "pflueger sound mirror" since the eighties.
Bist du eig deutsch? Hört sich so an wenn du englisch redest :D
