Crowd age ranged from 18 to 60 (by my best guess) and there was no crazy mosh pit or anything, just 100ish people rocking out to good music. Kinda feel bad they flew all the way from Norway for such a small crowd. Tickets were only like $20 too. Zero chance they made money. Baard is now bald and dude is only like 1% body fat. I'm not surprised after seeing him live either, dude has got to be one of the busiest drummers I've ever seen. He uses every ounce of his entire kit and is always moving all over the place.

I love fuck ups in performances. To this day my favorite and most memorable live gig was of a local band where the guitar player broke a string mid song and just yanked it out and kept on playing. Adds a human element, as well as a special something that makes it stand out from all the other "perfect" gigs.

So glad you finally checked Baard. One of the most talented, technical and creative drummer of current's Metal/Rock scene. I was expectinb more analysis and comments, but still I can see that you emjoy it and are impressed so that's enough for me ;) Please come back to Baard soon, there are no songs of him where the drumming is the same: Illuminate is so technical, groovy, and tasteful at the same time you would really dig it.

I've dropped a stick before and finished the last 30 seconds of a song by hitting the cymbals hard with my knuckles. Good shit, love seeing that stuff in playthroughs.

Saw this giy live in his Dj&Drums project. They played for 1 hour, and during that time, he managed to break one or two sticks, so he plays REALLY HARD. I'm not surprised his cymbals are fucked lmao

saw tool in 94 and danny carey lost a stick at that show. it bounced across his high toms, hit a cymbal before he caught it in mid-air. Adam looked back at him and Danny just smiled. LOL

Lost a stick once mid-roll, ended up in the crowd....love to be able to say it was thrown back, I caught it, and we all lived happily ever after.... But we all know that didn't happen hey.... Thank God for attentive stagehands....
