maye should be the picks but i wouldn’t be surprised if we take jayden. both can great but there’s to many ppl out there helmet scouting and wanting athleticism over pure pro typical and translatable talent. guys like maye win bowls and play long careers. guys like jayden while fun don’t last long and they can’t hold with the elite passers. They can both be good qb but to me maye’s the guy u wanna build around

Drake and Jayden is both marketable but jayden would definitely benefit more from the DMV culture and I believe Maye would benefit more in the Boston culture if the patriots select him

I like Mayes ability to place the ball anywhere he wants but Jayden’s ability to take over the game is what the commanders need.

I know Terry McLaurin doesn't play the qb position, but from an age talking point, he was one of the older receivers that came out of college and has played well. I don't care that Jayden Daniels is two years older than Drake Maye. It also doesn't mean he has hit his ceiling. He can continue to get better. I say select Jayden Daniels with the second pick.

We can't miss here with either, but I like Drake Maye. Great size, great arm and good athleticism.

Its all a guessing game and I might be wrong but I think Maye will translate better in the league. Daniels has been hyped off one season where 75% of his 40 Tds and 70% of his 3800 yards went to 2 guys who will go first round. He does have the ability to run but we cant expect him to run for 1k like he did in college, the league is totally different. He does have talent and I cant discredit a heisman trophy but watching the film most of his throws were his first or second read. And most of the time they were wide open. If 1 or 2 wont open then he runs. I rarely saw him keeping his eyes down field while scrambling and trying to throw last second instead of running. He didn't have great accuracy on the run. Ppl comparing him to lamar, he has more experience then lamar did coming out but lamar is way more athletic with a stronger arm. Shit even on lamars college highlights i saw him scrambling from the pocket and throwing down field, he didn't always immediately run when it was pressure even tho who could every time. When lamar was 22 he had been won the heisman and won nfl mvp. Jayden at 23 just got the heisman. If we look strictly at the most recent stats and highlights it seems like the daniels is the pick but on film I feel like maye was proccessing things better with way less talent around him

On another note I’m starting to believe Nabors might be the best wr in the country

I like Maye and I like Jayden.. I think I’ll pick Jayden over Maye because, Maye has this weird motion before he throws. Even after he pump faked he has to go through that motion. If i can see it I know some NFL LB’s and DB’s can too which is what worries me for the soon to be rook. Daniels has Lamar-esque plays, where nothing turns to something and based on our drives last year-we need that for our lull’s in game play.

I think its only fair that you should draft the first two heisman trophy winners first meaning caleb Williams then jayden Daniel's and then drake maye.

Drake will be a solid NFL qb. However, Jayden (with ample protection) will be dual threat solid. Either will succeed based on scheme.

I will make a case for Jayden Daniels going to the Bears. Not because he is better than Caleb Williams. He is better suited for Soldier Field. Justin Fields was better suited for Soldier Field than Williams. It's no accident the Steelers wasted No time going after him even with Russell Wilson. They have the same crappy field.

This is a tough one. I'm going to point out the negatives. JD has a small frame, he takes big hits, I'm hearing he has an elbow injury, and don't forget he was throwing the ball to some future first round picks. Drake Maye is younger, less experienced, and less accurate. Very raw prospect with a lot of upside, while I feel JD has pretty much reached his ceiling after 5 yrs playing college ball.

JD won't last. Take the traditional 10 plus year QB DM Doesn't have the experience yet but after 40 plus years since Theismann, I think we can give him a year to learn. Upside is too great. JD Has already reached his ceiling

Jayden threw to top WR’s. Maye threw to plumbers. Clown statement. Fun fact. They both had 3 and 4 star talent all over the field to throw to. Difference is Jayden and his crew elevated their level of play together. Meanwhile Maye dropped off. Nabors and Thomas weren’t superstars coming into LSU. They BECAME stars with JD5 at the helm!

the receivers constantly have to make crazy adjustments for daniel’s, and he has a line that gave him a super clean pocket throw after throw. DM stronger arm, better moving in pocket, and making throws on the run

@@andrewevans7229dumb statement. Every receiver “adjusts” to throws. You’re no athlete. It’s called tracking. Funny you mention super clean pocket even though the knock on Jayden is his higher pressure to sack ratio. Make it make sense. Although this is slightly inaccurate as well. Because he runs fairly often, some of those when he gets caught trying to take off behind the line of scrimmage count as sacks as well. Drake Maye literally drifts into sacks.

JD throwing elbow is going to cause him to miss time in year one , that will be the start of BOB 2.0😢 . MAYE had less than 25% of the talent JD had around him. Interceptions per number of throws are about the same !

Maye had 16 int's in 2 seasons, and Daniels had 20 in 5 seasons. Maye played 5 seasons he would be projected to throw 28 int's! Daniels was also throwing against STRONGER SEC talent than Maye throwing against WEAKER ACC talent! You're not GOD or a psychic to say he's gonna get hurt. People like your weak comments, which is why I want Daniels even more!

Its not even close, Drake Maye is a bust if you get him in the top 10. The guy will need to learn to read defenses. NC offense is a lot of 1 read and throw plays. Watch every throw from full games instead of highlight. 90% of Mayes throws are Wr screens or quick drags or quick slants. Jayden played behind a good online unlike Drake and Caleb and had the opportunity to learn how to go through his progressions. Heres how i now its Jayden, If you really like Maye then Howell woudve stayed, Both from the same school, same style and maye looks up to Howell.
