My jaw dropped a handful of times. He throws the prettiest back shoulder fade of any guy I've seen this year. His vision as a runner is singular, he clearly has a plan and sets up his lanes in a way that better athletes in this class don't do. If he goes to a talented team he could go off early and win some games.

Love the scramble ability + deep ball accuracy, two of the hardest things to be good at as a qb. The short to medium accuracy is easier to work on than the other stuff 😂. I also love the big moment plays he’s a baller. Patriots need to go in a new direction, draft this man 🙏

It’s “easier to work on” for sure but that’s typically what the downfall of QBs is at the next level. If you can’t develop an accurate short/intermediate game in the NFL you’ll never be able to hit the big plays. The players and coordinators are too smart. Can’t be leaving the pocket too early either, which is something he needs to work on.

yeah thought the same... "in stride" but 'in between' the wr and cb is not quite where you want to put it unless there is a lot of separation

I've watched Williams, Maye and Daniels over and over... actual games, not just highlights. Williams is the best off-script, really special and that will win some games. But most of his highlights are off-script....that works in the NFL for only so long. At some point you got to be able to run the offense by design. He's not good anticipating throws or reading a D pre snap. Maye is better than Williams in structure, but he loves to play hero ball and often makes bad decisions outside the pocket. Got a cannon. Great size. Can run very well for a big man. He's showed a lot of frustration with himself in his body language this year... worries me. Daniels...Awesome TD to turnover ratio. Puts an emphasis on not turning the ball over. Nice mechanics. Looks like he's got the fundamentals down already. Can go through all his progressions. But when he needs to scoot, its exciting...almost as good as Lamar in that regard. Williams and Maye have a slightly bigger arm, but Daniels' arm is very good. Plays in a much more complex, pro-ready offense at LSU. The only thing I worry about with Daniels is that he's a bit light. He could get injured a lot. If he puts on 10 pounds of muscle...no worries. In closing...I think Daniels ends up with the best career.

2:18 was a scary tackle. He got up like nothing happened. He's a Tough Guy!

I bet $100 on heisman early season after he showed out for 2 games and got 35:1 odds, made $3,500 on Jayden. I did same for #1 pick at 75:1 odds. I put $400 to win $30k. This was when he was #18 on most big boards. He's now at #2. Might sell on secondary market after he runs a 4.4 at combine and odds improve.@ERMAN

@@this2shallpass410 that’s not all he throws. I have seen a bunch of games where he throws routes within 10 yards. He’s very capable of doing it. I’m just saying these days. The Brady Manning era is over. It’s very easy to prepare for a non-mobile QB. Everyone of them needs to run now. Today there’s not any really good QBs that just stay in the pocket. Daniel’s I believe can be amazing within a couple years.

Daniel’s in that Florida game, really opened up my eyes. Whether it was throwing or running. He was “HIM” that day. He has an eerily similar build and skill set to RGIII. Hopefully the team he goes to manages his runs appropriately, so he doesn’t get obliterated by NFL lineman and linebackers.

His quick release immediately popped off the screen! He has that quick-twitch spark and doesn't look like a young puppy falling awkward all the time like Justin Fields... I wouldn't mind him in Chicago!!!

I hope my Raiders have a chance to get him in the next draft ✊🏼 All I want is a franchise Qb for once ☠️

His scrambling ability is insane, great speed, great escapability, can turn a nothing play into something. I do worry though that this isnt going to translate to the nfl… he got popped a few times in this video and he’s not a big guy, I give Drake Maye the slight edge for his composure in the pocket and arm. This kid is gonna be fun to watch. I think both are better than Williams tbh

My only worry about watching these highlights, is that all these plays seem to be 1st option or scramble. He's very athletic, but I'd love to see some plays where he makes his way through his progressions and makes a read. Happy for someone to point me in the right direction.

I saw that too, and im a commanders fan, amd his vision is insane and he actually hurt that dude he juked, we pick 4th so who knows what our new staff will do but if they evaluate QBS on our team and feel drafting that high a qb is in play it needs to be, Ron messed up in 20 and 21 by not getting a qb granted we had Haskins and RIP but as a fan i knew Dan picked him, bit yes Chase was the guy at the time but most people know you take over a staff you get your QB if you really dont have one if you're picking that high but thats the past so i really hope the new regime either gets 1 of these qbs or gets Sam some protection and more weapons

Love watching this guy passing... He can literally drop it into his receiver, while in stride. Accuracy will need work tho, Gotta get 2 feet down in the big league

Would like to see some short to intermediate throws as well. Those deep shots are impressive but they are much easier at the college level considering the large gap of talent you see at the college level.

Great on his feet. Can hit the open receivers.. but how well will he do throwing into tight windows/tough coverages. Gotta be able to do that at the next level.

The play at 1:45 has me sold, evades the pressure and keeps eyes downfield and tosses a dime on the move to a receiver in stride I think a lot of credit needs to be given to the receivers with how much separation they have but hope to see you in a Redskins uni!

And to think, most LSU fans wanted him to get benched for Nussmeyer after the UGA game last season… This is exactly why coaches DON’T take advice from the fans. Some of y’all think you know more than you really do 🤣🤣🤣

this is true. I was one. I thought Nuss was better bc he could sling it, but he was too wild with throws. Jayden was better. Hopefully Nuss can make it. He looked very good in 2nd half in bowl game. He hasn't started a game since 2021 I believe before that. Started slow but looked good 2nd half

Damn he has some Amazing touch on his passes. Super quick and can juke. The only thing is I didn’t seen some laser throws. There were a few that floated. But damn he going to be solid I think

I've never seen this guy before this and I'm impressed I wouldn't hesitate to take him 2 overall

He looks like an awesome college quarterback. But there is not a single clip where he comes off of his first read. There is no manipulation of the pocket here either. When he moves in this video it is always to run. This is my first time looking at him, so hopefully I can see some of these things I am mentioning elsewhere.

I see the same. ASU alum and watched a little of him before he transferred to LSU. He's definitely improved, so I'm skeptical there as well. Third, I am a Redskins fan and we have a QB Howell struggling with the exact same thing. Does not get the ball out at the end of his drop. Lastly, we also had RG3 and I see a lot of the same characteristics but Jayden is bigger and can actually slide.

This kid has some of the best highlights. You can't compare him to anyone in the draft. He is definitely one of kind.

2:33 what a move! A first down would be the cherry on top but it's still a nice play regardless

Minnesota will get him at all cost which shouldn't be much since all the"experts" have at least 3-4 qbs ahead of him.

Good passing skills and pocket awareness, strong arm and accurate but he telegraphes passes and stares down his receivers. Great running ability, elusive with terrific field vision. He could play RB.

EXACTLY ! Every single play is a Go Route to an open receiver. And the few times the defense was able to keep up, the WR had to come back and make a Randy Miss type play on the ball. Don’t get me wrong, i see the raw materials. if he could sit a year and get with the right coach i have no doubt he could make some noise. But there’s guys in these comments talking about he’s a lock HOF’er because he can throw go balls lol it’s crazy.

I like that when the pocket collapse he not just standing there he quickly running around to gain yards. A skill he will need once he gets to the NFL

He's got some skills . Will need good coaching and strong protection up front.

This guy and Lamar Jackson don’t even belong in the same book, let alone the same sentence.

Nothing in this highlight reel shows me he will be a capable NFL QB. I wanna see a QB thread the needle on a crossing route, hit a back shoulder throw,, progress through his reads. These are all GO Routes and Deep throws downfield.

@@aaronbreeds758i said the same thing. the guys guarding him will be lucky if they are allowed to workout at the combine. Pretty arm ? Yes. Big, strong and fast ? Check. But i could name 25 QBs that looked just like him in college in just the last 10 years. History of the league shows these guys that can throw to elite, top tier receivers don’t pan out that well. Hell Ohio State JUST got a real deal QB in the league after how many guys ? He has the materials. I just want people to pump the brakes a bit.

Not hating on JD5 but his receivers were making amazing deep ball catches

Wow he didn't play like this at ASU, I'd know I watch a lot of his games here in AZ. This was impressive. Does he have the size to hold up in the NFL; I'm a Raiders fan I'd trade whatever it takes to get him. I just hope he turns out better than the last LSU qb the Raiders drafted, if the Raiders draft him.

Jayden is a very humble man. Just listening to him talk you can tell he comes from a good family and will take a higher path. Jamarcus failed because he was lazy and got addicted to codeine/hydrocodone. Jayden won't be that.

His accuracy is on a different lavel but his ability to use blocks is unmatched.

bro is nice man, he's faster than some of the DBS out there.. YIKES, considering the year the giants has had, I wouldn't mind him rockin the blueeeee. Either way, I'm excited to see what this young man brings, and I hope my giants make can either get his teammate Nabers or.... Perhaps one of those solid tackles in the draft.

Great first look accuracy. Wow! Great running abilities. Wow Wow! We didn't get to see much of his check-down play making... but why bother? If his first guy isn't open just fucking run!!!!!! Jayden is Elite talent.
