Jaybird Vista vs. Sony WF-SP800N - Two Of The Best True Wireless Sport Earphones

Спорт

I have been using the Jaybird Vista as my go-to sport earbuds for nearly a year now and I haven’t really found anything else to replace it with and that was not for the lack of trying. But I recently reviewed the Sony WF-SP800N and I figured that these earphones might be worthy of a head-to-head comparison. So the job for today is to figure out wether the Sony can dethrone the Jaybird and take its place on the top of the true wireless sport earbud world.

Because I have the birds and everyone complaints how they can't hear me because it picks up too much background house when I talk. stop being said I just picked up the Sony ones because it was on a special sale on Amazon for $128. The Jaybird doesn't have active noise cancellation, but the Sony does. ANC is the technology which filters out surrounding noises so you won't hear as much of it when listening to music. Noise filtering during phone calls is a different story as it's meant to make your voice easier to understand for the person you talk to by filtering out noises

Thanks Rafael. Garmin watches have issues with BT connection sometimes and unfortunately I cannot say I have a solution for you. You should make sure the headphones are connected as headphones not some sensor as I heard it can happen. Or maybe reinstalling the Spotify app can help. You can also try wearing the watch on the other wrist but that shouldn't be a problem with the Vistas as they receive BT signal through both buds, but who knows...

@@AndysTechTone The Vistas arrived today and it only took a few minutes to set them up, including the app. When I first listened I was distinctly underwhelmed, even after setting up my profile. However, after making some adjustments I've found a sound signature I really like. I haven't had a workout with them but the fit and comfort seem very good. Like the Bose, they don't fit inside the ear canal but push onto it to get a seal, which is great. At £105, an undoubted bargain; good enough for casual listening, so more than good enough when I'll be working out! Nice simple controls, which can be used one-handed, with a light but positive click. They seem very loud; unlike the Bose the volume on the phone and earbuds are separate, so both need to be on 100% for full volume (too loud for me!). 5*. Great recommendation

Hi, I am considering buying earbuds for gym. Based on your reviews, I am leaning towards Vista. However I saw in comments that you are going to do a new comparison video soon. That video is coming next week, so you might want to hold off a bit more. If you need the Vistas now, go ahead and buy them, I still love them a lot. If you need it for phone calls you might want to consider the Klipsch T5, if you want the best possible sound quality my choice would be the Bose and of course there are the Sonys with ANC. I had all three Bose, jay bird, and Sony wf1000. Sony win on noise cancellation. Bose wins default sound. But with app tweaking jay bird beats all three on sound. You can listen to Bose sound quality in Jaybird with the help of app. Sound wise I prefect Bose or Jaybird. With the help of app Jaybird can beat Bose on sound. Hands down Bose is still the king when it comes to delay sound. I listen to all kinds of music especially Indian music where a lot of instruments comes in to play. So I need Bose or Jaybird with the help of app. Without app Jaybird is waste.

I just returned my sp800n to the Sony shop. They were not very pleased and tried to explain their way out of my issues for over 30 minutes. 1. He explained that the Noise Cancelling is not a separate feature, its controlled by the ambiance balance, this means you cant have both working separately although the feature "Noise Cancelling" is a separate feature turned on and off in the left Bud. So that gets an "F" Mark. 2. If you want to be able to Pause, Fwd, Back your music then you cannot control the volume from the head set. It's either one or the other. This is why there is no where in the short instruction that tells you how to change the volume. Very Silly. The salesman said you cant find an ear bud that has all the controls but I've been using Jabra's for 3 years and they do it all without changing modes in the App. 3. If you want the feature on where the headphones detect your environment, then you'll have to put up with the left ear bud stopping and starting every time it switches between environment modes. Very annoying. 4. I told him the sound is not as good as Sennheiser M3IETW-C Which are a pretty old model, but I purchased the Sony's because of the ear fit, his answer was yes your right you'd have to compare those with the 1000's. So all in all the SP800's are not really fit for purpose and the Sony staff are not very well informed about their product or the market around them. He was pretty Narky and I doubt I'd every try them again.

The name of the channel comes from my first name András (the Hungarian form of Andrew) which is derived from the Greek word ανδρειος (andreios) meaning man, manly. It doesn't mean that this channel is for men only, not even close, but I have always loved that fact about my first name and I thought the name "Mainly Manly Stuff" would reflect my intentions with this channel perfectly and that is to share stuff with you that I'm passionate about...

@@AndysTechTone That makes sense... but without the backstory it just feels a bit exclusionary, which makes me feel uncomfortable. But I'm just one person, won't be the same for everybody. The content itself is up there with the best on youtube.
