Victoria Appiagei, Wow, get a life, there a lot more races then black, this doesn't make the video special because of the "blackness" in it, if you judge and live your life according to how much black or white is in something, guaranteed you will lose so many of the best moments you couldve had and will never even know it, it's called ignorance, hope you can rise above that, but the way you talking, that's gonna be a long shot, lo l Oh, and p.s. before you reply, realize I'm probably blacker then you, both parents, I just refuse to see color I rather see content of character.

My understanding from the song is respect each other black man and black woman and as she said ,"be grateful". Also isn't she the young lady that couple basketball players came out the blue and insult her ,because of the color of her skin. maybe that's what he's trying to say for us to stop hurting your own color ,your own race, mother's of your children that looks like you.

Funny peoples reactions to Jay's artistic opus his music and visuals - I was quite done with Jay over his last few releases as I felt he had reached his prime and was putting out pure bullshit to stay relevant for a man in his 40's. These new releases and the way he's putting them out speak very personally of him I believe for the first in a long time. Probably since Reasonable Doubt and playing up to the masses took over. The Black Album was possibly the 2nd most deep felt (Ironically when he faked retired lol) This new release is quite extraordinary and I feel is in no way trying to out art or out preach or out do any other artist. It's just where his heart is at in 2017 after all of the public scandals, hobnobbing with the 44th president, he's had great success in all he's done and now adding beautiful babies. He's just sharing a bit of himself with us and it's wonderful. It's grown man observations and feelings which he can add wonderful visual displays to really drive the message home. Like Chuck D said - what do you expect a 47 year old man to rap about? Come out mumbling or with audio tune? The same played out $ bitches and hoe's and drug slanging? Lord please stop the nonsense. Leave that for the young men to sort out and hopefully grow out of. I think just take a moment to really hear and feel what he's saying. This release may go down as one of the most genre altering releases in hip-hop history AND cement him as an actual great. As much of a GOAT that he (Career Highs & Sales) he's still not revered the same in hip-hop circles as legends such as Rakim, Nas, Biggie, Pac, - not even LL gets shared in the same conversations as much as he's contributed. This is Jay's entry into that elusive group.

Jay had to get money first, he mentions in his song Magna carter something along the lines of wanting to rhyme like talib & common, but those kind of records don’t sell compared to pop culture stuff. He’s now in a position where he can be personal, and deep and tell the stories he’s been wanting to tell

Yeah this album is an artistic masterwork....actually more art than rap songs...and that super....he's matured...he pretty much perfected the sound and style he started cultivating with blueprint 3....bp3 was the beginning of new school jay-z...he evolved on bp3,into an older and more creative artist...the album cover says it all...it's just a bunch of instruments...he was saying he evolved past being the old Jay,and was now more interested in just music making....he refined that sound and added art-deco atmosphere and that became magna carta...which was artsier than bp3...now years have passed and it sounds like he has the sound he started looking for on bp3....I'm very impressed with his last 3 albums...he's really been pushing his limits as an artist...it cool to witness

He's trying to give the world in-your-face and deep subliminal messages at the same time in each video. I understand your sentiments. I was being happy that I have someone to look up to. That's all. Still, I do agree that I should have mentioned the Kenyan aspect instead of pointing out the tribe. I'm just happy that not everything is gloomy for my people. There's hope. Even if its distant.

the last lines on this masterpiece of an album are: I promise to repair with gold each bowl I drop Be grateful for whatever comes because each has been sent From a guy from beyond, that's what Rumi say "Never go to bed mad," that's what my Ummi say It always took her less to say more I always thought she was an angel, now I'm sure, sure that shit is beautiful and not only the most thoughtful lines he's ever dropped, they may even be his last...
