When I was 19 I got a summer job working at a front desk and some of the older people who worked at the company would give me unsolicited life advice and some of them would say PLEASE do not get pregnant at this point in your life at your age. And after a few people said that to me I was confused why they would say that specifically to me, randomly, and one of my relatives said they definitely were projecting their own fears onto me and someone in their life likely got pregnant young and they saw them miss out on opportunities that would have had otherwise. But that it had nothing to do with me personally. This video reminded me of that. Also growing up my older sister would say "x,y,z, etc. may happen" and I would always say "just b/c it happened to you doesn't mean it will happen to me." Ahhh memorieszzz

@@lakendrapeterson3382 it will come don't worry ! We lost everything to a fire and it got to a point where I didn't know what we were gonna do. I really broke down. Then something just said let go and let God. Not to sound cliché but that's exactly what I did. I stopped trying to rent for the sake of hurrying up and getting a place and started working on myself and family. I started getting my credit right. Withing a month I was getting loan approvals and the amounts just kept going up. Being stuck in a hotel for 3 months really humbled my family and I and made us appreciate everything we had. God took it all away and gave it back 10 times over. Just keep pushing. I promise you will get there if you continue to have faith. I almost gave up then I just kept telling my 1 year old daughter "Daddy's gonna get you a new house" and the Lord showed me the way to make it happen. He will never give you more than you can bare and I am a true testament to that belief !

It starts with changing your mind and way of thinking first. Mental strength first, then purpose referring to your Big “WHY” comes second. Right on my end it wasn't my mindset it's my habits and inconsistency and not putting myself goals first and not seeing that taking that leap risking going homeless I thought making sure I kept a roof over my kids heads was more important....I tried to work around my goals and dreams that was then....

Not everyone that gives advice or tries to reach us in some way is necessarily “projecting their fears onto “ us. Sometimes we need a word of encouragement or caution at different times in our lives. Some people may try to project their fears onto us, but when you recognize it as so, then distance yourself. We should make an effort to seek wise council with regard to the direction we choose to go in.

Your future starts with your mind set. If u say you cant how can you. You already gave yourself doubt. An convinced yourself its impossible. You want something know you can have it. Believe nothing and no one will stop you. Remove the words cant wont and how. Just do it. Seriously. Just do it. You would be surprised how far you can get if you really believe theres no way its impossible and u create your reality. Its hard explain but the universe is literally yours you just have know how manipulate and use it to your advantage. Positivity is the key and motivation is the fuel.

This was one of the realist things I've seen.. To this day I remember when I caught the bus to apply for college after I graduated high school.. I was living in the hood and the people there was talking trash telling me I wasnt "smart enough to learn around white folks" .. I graduate with my MBA in May, and start my doctorates in August. Life is funny, The same people that was talking down on me for applying to a community college are the same people thats still living in the hood When Jay said people say you changed like I worked this hard to stay the same I felt that on another level. Im going to keep going to school, keep doing videos on my channel for KZread and keep striving to become a better version of myself

I have tears coming down my eyes. I was once told that my voice was the best kept secret in Syracuse. Since that time, my voice has changed. I fill as though my time has passed with singing but I have begun to write. The time that people spend being negative instead of being positive is horrendous.
