Not only did he show respect but showed a correct understanding of Pac and what he was all about... and Charlie Rose moved the convo forward way too quick and J even tried to bring it back like.. son, the subject of Pac deserves more time than that

Too bad Tupac died before the beef. As a fan I would have love to see that. Nas had amends with Pac and BIG wasn't going to take shots so Jay Z was. At the time Jay was coming off Reasonable Doubt so Tupac might have a problem in his hand. JAYZ GOAT!

I also feel like their careers are cemented. And the spotlight isn't on them as it was from 94-06. Now Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Joey Badass, etc. are getting their era ushered in. But don't get it "twisted" if Nas, Em, or Jay ever had that spark or motivation we mentioned they can drop a classic and all are 40+ or will be and dropping a classic at that age is rare considering Hip Hop is for the young more so the old.

All-Around. Big-L, Rakim, & Nas are not as well rounded. Nas can't make a great party anthem to save his life. Big L was mostly a typical battle rapper and was real good at spitting. Jay does more. He can get lyrical, paint pictures, drop metaphors, drop a serious song, or make a party anthem. That's what I mean by all-around.

Jay and Pac really had no beef being they never ever met. pac misunderstood jay-z's song "dead presidents" as a diss since biggie was in the video and one rapper mentioned taking over cali in the video. pac put out the song let's be friends ( a flirt at foxy brown and a diss at dre.). This iswhen jay and biggie did the diss track " brooklyns finest".

Yeah Recovery & Relapse aren't great albums. Jay Z still has it like he kills his features but I would love to see him put that business thing aside and put a CLASSIC album together. Nas' Life Is Good was a great album though. I think Jay, Nas, & Em are probably 1-2 Classic albums away from becoming the GOAT.

Are you serious? Jay-Z is a better emcee than Tupac. And arguably better than Em. Hell Em even thanks Jay-Z for his influence on his music. Jay has many great lines. But I understand most fans that love Em & Tupac tend to hate on Jay which is unfair since Jay is the most all around Emcee of all time. Here is a great Line from 96: Murder is a tough thing to digest,it's a slow process And I ain't got nothing but time Which has two meanings.
